Yes, it’s in the Source 2013 SDK (-vr on the command line), but this is only a technological support for the Rift (stereo rendering, distortion shader, headtracking) and maybe some control schemes.
It’s good enough for exploration of empty levels with no actual gameplay (so the two first chapters should be nicely playable), but for proper VR experience in the whole game (including gun fights, puzzles, platforming) some game design tweaks would be needed.
But no solid info on steam release or progress yet…

I’ve finally broken down. I cant do it any more. I have waited patiently since 2006. I was excited by he 2009 trailer. I believed the devs when they said they were almost finished in 2010. Two girlfriends, three forum crashes, 4 engines, piles of flaming noobs who asked the same questions, about 7, the beta troll to end all trolls, half a release, greenlight and now a pay version and all I want to do is play the game. Just a date, a price or something. I know it is entirely too much to ask but I can’t hold back from asking a few times.

Delays are all the rage these days, all the cool devs are doing it. Frankly I think BM should be delayed until 2017.
The BM devs delayed stuff before it was cool.
I am doing all those things, but they are ultimately not what I want. All I want is to play the game. I can’t even take out my frustrations by pummeling forum newbs with a flaming fist for asking the questions I just repeatedly asked. 
Just play the version that was release a year ago and take a valium…info will come when we are ready.
