half life uplink

Well some time ago my uncle got half life and i used to watch it every chance i get.

So a couple months ago we pulled it out trying to find the original quake, i try to install it no cd key great then cristmas came i get the orange box just for portal.

I then get interested in team fortress then after beating portal on the day i got it i decided to play half-life 2 loved it.

Now today i try to learn every thing about half life then i learn of uplink i dowloaded it and i loved that especialy the run and gun action in it and im going to buy the fll version while i wait for black mesa and i got a few questions.

What are those 3 tenicles in that seemingly botem less pit room.

Is all of half life more run and gun and not useing strategy at times to take out your enemys cuase it seems to be like both to the run thros ive seen of it.

Oh and hi (first time).

Now i must be off to watch more zombies (posibly crowbar them to).

I’ts more or less find-way-out and think-this-over-then-die-and-try-again than run-and-gun.

Those tentacles are blocking your path, so you have to blow them up.

It’s an epic puzzle. Basically you sneak past them, turn on the fuel and air valves, start up this huge electricity thing, and sneak back by the tentacles to fire a test rocket (the bottomless pit is a missile silo) which bakes the tentacles and kills them. Then you jump into the pit and aim for the water. But it’s a lot more complicated than that

and Uplink was great. Only complaint is the ending.

ah ok thank you for clearing this up you to brother shrike

Radromity’s English rivals that of Eric Fong.

Except I think Radromity has English as his primary language.

:fffuuu:

Now that I think of it, what the hell is this thread about?

I think this thread is become “Radromity’s English compare to Eric Fong’s English, which one is better?” Half-Life: Uplink is great, i played it in hard and no cross head.

Nobody can beat Eric Fong at English… Not even literate people. He’s just so expressive and abstract, and doesn’t allow himself to be constrained by grammar or sense.

Of course, he’s known by his friends as simply “The Fong”.

Valve has recently hired him to add this new effect known as ‘Fong’ shading to give the dated models in Half-Life 2: episode 3 the next-gen look we’ve been waiting for.

Oh ho ho. ICwutUdidthar

Is this thread about the demo or the “film”?

I realize that the movie is absolute crap, but does anyone know of someplace to watch it? Cause I’m kind of intrigued… (not by the plot obviously. Sounds cliche from the 4 word wikipedia summary)

It has been destroyed in every way possible by Valve. I want to see it just to see how bad it is.

Believed me, I’ve searched torrent sites for hours and haven’t come up with anything. :frowning:

Ha! my real last name is not Fong.
Tell you the true my real name is…secret, only my close friend known my real name.

“Fong” - Abstract (likely unintentional) misuse of the written English language with incredibly questionable meaning often appearing to be self deprecating, cryptically relevant, or just completely without relevance.

E*** F**** C*** H***
Guess the censored word yourself.

Which one? First two I can’t even guess at, and I could make a bunch up for the second two.

I was just joking around with you there, anyways, have a laugh.

I must admit, this thread has me very curious about the so called movie (pre-screen?) that Valve (really??) gave the ok on.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
