Half-life for mobile

Hello, I am the developer of half-life for mobile (https://www.moddb.com/games/half-life-mobile) But I’d like to do BMS, there were no problems with Valve.
Black Mesa for mobile…

Are phones even powerful enough to run Source? Especially Black Mesa.

He’s doing it in Unity engine.

Will the multiplayer component be included in this? If yes, I’ll be all over this on my phone.

The GoldSrc engine is barely playable(5-10fps) in low resolution with no sound, on a quad-core android device like the Note 2. (search youtube for Half Life Dosbox Turbo)

The unity engine has support for multiple map/texture/model format but doesn’t have all the triggers/scripts/entities that a singleplayer valve game needs to be playable, so I’d say short of importing a client/server dll, you need to figure out x86 emulation or compile the source engine source code on ARM to make it playable within the current devices lifetime…

You can alter Unity a lot, can’t you? Doesn’t KSP run run on Unity?

It seems like for making a mobile HL it would be better performance-wise to use one of the custom Quake 1 open source engines that have support for some of Half-Life’s features and code the rest in that would be needed.

Quake 2 is playable at approx 24 fps on my Galaxy nexus.
This is definitely doable but you’re gonna need a titbus of free time

the kurok engine runs HL maps and has an android port, the problem with that is there are no binds for +use and +jump

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
