Recent rumours and a brand new poster image, showing G-Man’s face it’s all around the web!

Take it as a rumor, but be excited!
"A mysterious image including Half-Life’s signature lambda sigil and the words “Freeman June 14th” has appeared online. The picture looks to be a photo of some kind of binder or poster, and invites speculation regarding the recently (and hilariously) canceled June 14th Portal 2 event.

There’s no official confirmation or denial on its way, but Valve does like to play games on the Net from time to time. The company recently pulled out of E3, but June 14th is the same day as the Xbox media briefing…perhaps Dr. Freeman will be making an appearance at Microsoft’s shindig?"

June 14 is 1 day away from my first day of school as a fourth year student. FFFUUU— My summer vacation is gonna be over in 7 days. I just hope that VALVe shows Ep.3 at E3 at June 14.

Yeah, the face is a well hidden Gman, but you can see it when you look properly.

I want this to be real, but at the same time, I’m not getting my hopes up.

Valve have the best marketing team I’ve ever known, and the slow, but obvious announcement of Portal 2 was the best announcement for a game that I’ve ever seen.

Any source on that “it’s fake lawl” talk. Just want to know the reason so many people are saying it.

If the branding was more consistent with all the other HL2 promotional material, I’d believe it was real, but branding is really important for a company, and this just isn’t Valve’s branding of HL2.

But ye, it’s still possible that it’s real, I’m just leaning towards the “fake” camp for this.

  1. On the steam half-life 2 episode 2 forum, they’ve extracted the exif data on this thing, and it’s been photoshopped to DEATH on the exif data.

  2. In the original posting of where this image came from(just look around the steam ep2 forum, the link is in there somewhere) This picture was believed to be posted by Gabe Newell himself, complete with gabe’s actual email address. But upon further analysis, the ipaddress is horribly wrong, because it points at gabe being somewhere in sweden.
