Yeah, I noticed that in HL2, the suit had been “streamlined”. It was tinted all over darker and the interface on the front was removed. It looked like it had been adapted as more battle armour than scientific tool.
As for the helmet issue, maybe the Machinima series “Freeman’s Mind” answers that question, someone else just stole it because they couldn’t find theirs.
What happened to that persons helmet, well, that’s a whole other story.
Maybe some scientists just took it. They just were screwing around with it when suddenly the Resonasance Cascade (did I spell that right?) arcs through the building.
“Oh Shit! I knew we shouldn’t have taken it!”

Please don’t do it.

Half-Life is happen in 2005.

What’s he mean?

It’s the deathmatch model. You’re not supposed to go into third-person. Also , Gordon’s hair was long and combed back in HL1, whereas in HL2, it’s just short.

There’s also a version with Shades instead of Art house specs.

The HUD is projected via Gordon’s glasses, which are connected to the suit much in the way and Xbox 360 controller is to an Xbox360.

I always thought the HUD was tatooed onto his retinas, but thanks for the correct.

And the crosshair is etched into his glasses, seeing has how it’s visible all the time, even without weapons, or a suit.

No. The jetpack doesn’t work without the helmet.

He doesn’t, per se. However, radiation and heat are intimidated by his beard and steer clear of the face.

Heisenberg compensators and inertial dampeners.

Powerglove scans the weapon when it’s picked up. It’s so bad.

Waste reprocessing.

Half-Life’s event is happen in 2005, and in 2000 this is when human discover Xen and start screw with it.

Where did you get that information from?

Actually, half life takes place sometime between jan 1st 2000 and dec 31 2009 so it could be in the future… but not for long.

Actually, Valve slightly implied march 2003. It’s in HL2:Raising the bar.

So your saying it MIGHT be in the future.

OMIGOD! We could still make this happen people! Someone buy a missile silo in the middle of New Mexico, and paint a nearby Mesa black! I can make the HEV suits of of some spare cardboard. Now who has red hair and a PHD in theoretical physics? :retard:

I do!

Half-life takes place on May 16th and ends on May 18th of 200X. No specific year, just in that decade.

Trying to find out what year Half-Life took place in is like trying to find out exactly what country City 17 is in. You just can’t do it.

So you’re saying that Half-life begins on May 16th and ends two days later… I find that somewhat hard to believe. When the game starts, It’s sunrise. Then about halfway through half-life you get knocked out, and then the sky would suggest roughly noon. I would say half-life lasts a few hours, not two days. Unless Gordan was unconscious for two days, which seems extremely unlikely because I don’t see why the grunts would wait 2 days to try to kill him. Besides, halfway through opposing force you see freeman going to xen. then a few hours later the facility is destroyed. Meaning that two days after the resonance cascade Black mesa would have been a highly-radioactive smoldering heap of rubble.

Prepare guys, something bad will happen soon.

…and you actually think a chinese Black Mesa fanpage is a reliable source for information?

You’re obviously forgetting about On A Rail when you shoot the rocket out and its night time.
Here’s a screenshot:

As you can see, it’s night time.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
