Dunno - maybe you should pose that question to those who would have needed said ressources for their survival.
Well, bored people get into trouble - Football, baseball and hockey are not my thing per say, but I do enjoy combat. Some would say that martial arts are not so good - encourages violence - but then, for many who are in it, it is just the opposite. It teaches dicipline, respect of others and self and it certainly is a healthy thing to do in terms of fittness.
(Shrugs)
given that there are enough resources in the world to feed everyone, that’s a moot point.
Sad that we cannot collectively seem to work toward worth pursuits…
enough resources to feed everyone != even distribution of said resources
There are enough, but not a willingness of all concerned to make it happen.
exactly. that’s why I’m saying that sports aren’t a waste of resources.
sure but what isnt?
So race cars are running on a biological alternative to the limited supply of fossil fuels we currently depend on?
posting wrong things redacted
this may offend some people, but i don’t consider car races to be a real sport. it’s pretty stupid, I know, but meh…
what I’m referring to is: do you think that if federer, nadal, etc. stopped playing tennis, some kid in africa would get a full meal whenever he wants to?
Of course not. Some white asshole would get another cheeseburger instead.
exactly what I’m trying to say.
Yeah, and likely not give it a second thought…
Did someone say cheeseburger? Great, I’m hungry now.
Art is a waste of time, if you wanna be cosmic about it
So are computer games.
(Hmmm cheeseburgers…)
Free time is quite a privilege, ain’t it
