GTX 570 fail

Played Crysis the other day and for some reason the fps were locked to 24…
Any ideas?

I’m using an hdtv at 60Hz
i7 950 processor…

GPU isn’t good enough

crysis is not a benchmark of hardware released after 2007

I’ve got an ASUS GTX570 and I can max Crysis with no AA at ~60fps 1680x1050 (lowest it got was ~30fps in my last playthrough IIRC). I’m using CCC v3.00 at 4+ (highest setting) and set I set physics to run on core 3.

Core i5-750
4GB cheap DDR3 RAM
Antec TP750W PSU

For the record…

I run a GTX 275 with a (at the time) q6600 @3.4ghz and (at the time, again) 4gb ddr3 ram, And i was running Crysis 2 all in full…

lol, CCC…

I’m on a HD6950 with 8GB 1600Mhz Ram, AMD Hexcore 1100T Black Edition @ 3.3 Ghz and Crysis Warhead sat around 40FPS, that’s with everything plopped on Enthusiest.

Shrug I didn’t care, atleast It didn’t look like I was playing Manic Miner in slow motion.

Have you tried all of the generic fixes?
Uninstall drivers, Driver Sweep, Reinstall newest drivers.

Does your motherboard have any specific instructions for video card installing, and if so have they been followed?

Is your power-supply good enough? Are you doing SLI?
Is the TV set up with your computer properly?

Get a second GTA 570 and SLI

Is the GPU load high? If not, the GPU might be switching to lower clock frequencies to save energy. I had this glitch one time that when I went back to the desktop while playing a game the GPU would switch to the power saving mode thus giving me horrible performance. I managed to fix it by forcing the clocks through RivaTuner.

1100T on only 3.3? Dude, what are you thinking? OC it for fucks sake
I got my 970 on 3.7 and my 5770 on 910/1250. Your 6950 is way better than mine, and yet I have better FPS in regular Crysis

Can I say? I’m lazy… lol

Come home from work, turn on the PC and load a game. xD

Sleep. Repeat.

Actually, crytech are from the future and their games are made for quantum computers made in April 2167! The best quality you can get on it today is really the lowest even in the year 2078. :retard:

please…stop trying to be funny…for the love of god.

:mono:

Sometimes HDTV using HDMI is configured using 1080p/24p, which is 24fps. If you have V-sync enabled, and the nvidia drivers detect and use 1080p/24p, crysis will lock to 24FPS. Try it with any monitor (other than TV) and see if there is a difference.

Or you could also disable V-Sync and see. If you get max 24FPS, at any setting, then this is probably the problem.

I was thinking that, but I didn’t know if a monitor/TV can actually limit the FPS output of a graphics card. Is that possible? The moment he said 24fps I thought of the 24fps limit of TV, but I didn’t feel well-versed enough in the subject to recommend it.

Edit: even if it’s not the case, can’t hurt to try a different monitor and disable VSYNC.

idiot

As stated above it is probably the tvsettings fault. Check in nvidia control panel and make sure the refresh rate is set to 60hz and not 23/24.(It should be found in display/change resolution)

It’s definitely gotta be the Refresh rate or something, I just got a GTX 560 and i can run it on very high no AA at 1680x1050 with 50+ fps, so your’s should be fine for it.
