Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

i guess this would be more appropriate posted here. I think that fire it the background should give off more light around its proximity. it seems kind of weird all dark like that. (If that changes the atmosphere too much, maybe just omit it entirely)[/SIZE]

and perhaps that zombie should be on fire, since it seems to be coming from the direction of the flame.

Are you actually suggesting they redo a promotional screenshot based on your whims?

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Not really. Just a minor lighting suggestion.

I think it’s a valid point.

yes… i know, but i just noticed it now. I was gonna suggest some stuff like suspension cables, columns and other stuff, but it would totally ruin the open atmosphere.

It looks ace, don’t worry.

Yeah, it looks fine with or without the magical absence of support beams :3

Had an interesting lil’ scenario playing in my head:

Unforeseen Consequences: The player sees a trapped scientist (maybe in one of these rooms) with a fire extinguisher attempting to put out a spreading fire, only to be killed. Perhaps by an exploding piece of equipment.

Dunno why I should bother as it’s probably far too late for anything to really be added but:

How about making the teleportation accident more interesting? Popping around Xen was fun, but why not anywhere else? Like some random area in Black Mesa, where you see a Security Officer pull a pistol and start shooting an unseen target, or perhaps a highway somewhere (and causing (or almost causing) a car accident in the process).

And maybe for shock effect, have a scientist who’s burning to death in a fire, scream at the player to help, even though he cannot.

I think that would be a bit much, but

I had the exact same idea for operation lambda mod o_o

Holy sweet Jesus, i laugh endlessly to that.

No. You gotta collect those boxes of depleted uranium :awesome:

I’ve noticed that NPCs holding a gun seem to have floppy hands:

It’s a little niggle I know, but almost every media that has an NPC holding a gun in it seems to suffer from this floppiness.

ah, nice. looks a lot more believable with those guys there, nice job team.

i guess that means that the wiki media is mighty old.

That’s just the way they hold their guns. Thatway if it accidentally discharges, it’ll just hit the ground, and not each other.

I’m talking about their hand, why is is it angled that way? They could just point their entire lower arm downwards instead of pointing their lower arm upwards and their hand downwards.

Come to think of it, it does pose a significant wrist problem.

It really doesn’t. He’s just holding his arm up to support the weight of the shotgun, and he’s letting his wrist rest by letting it hang.

It looks like the default HL2-animation, that might be why it looks strange.

@The devs: Maybe it was already changed, anyway, here is my suggestion:

Looking at the at the AM’s lobby desk in the Unforeseen Consequences Chapter, I think the things over the desk is still so much organized after the incident… It should be more messed up, with broken PC monitors, things scatered around, blood marks on the desk etc, meaning that people have fought there during the caos.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
