Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

Or maybe we’d all be playing Black Mesa in our Commodore 2048 systems.

I think the world would be a lot better if that were the case.

Are you saying that when the player’s camera gets hit or has recoil, the HUD also gets affected by it?

If so, awesome.

Are you implying that the HUD is now like a holographic display on Gordon’s helm–

OHHHH NO, I’M NOT GOING TO GET INTO THAT. NO SIR.

I thought we established that the HUD displayed on his glasses?

I SWARE GORDON HAS A FUCKING HEMLET!

I really don’t know where that idea ever came from, since in no concept art, HEV model or third person Gordon model has a helmet EVER been shown.

Gordon’s glasses have no lenses.

Thus proving, he has a helmet.

See? Nothing there but the twinkle in his eye!

I see many flaws in your logic, the most outstanding being that the pic you posted shows definite lenses in the glasses.

^truth

The simple fact that headcrabs (and even zombies) can inflict damage prove that Gordon is not wearing a helmet.

However, I believe Medevilae is being sarcastic…i hope.

Lmao you chose the worse possible pic to prove your point.

Yeah. I know. :stuck_out_tongue:

I sure hope I was sarcastic also. :fffuuu:

Something like star war commando game?

oh man can we please have little windshield wipers that wipe blood and goo off the hud? :awesome:

Guys, cut the helmet talk. Afaik it’s still against the rules to discuss it.

What now bacconeggs?

Yes! Those are really great suggestions, it really got me thinking about that one instance in Half life 2’s “on the coast” level (not sure which one). Where a citizen had apparantly killed himself behind a gas tank. Hidden stories like that really help players immerse and enrapture themeselves in the game

Something like barricades in the cafeteria or an office with a desk drawer open and scientist dead in his office chair with a magnum in his hand could really enrich blackmesa source’s atmosphere for sure. Of course this is really just a matter of adding detail, something Blackmesa source would most certainly already have.

It’s still against the rules, whatever picture you could show (especialy old ones).

Who’s that guy standing behind Gordon?

It’s Gordon with the helmet on.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
