I just saw this in one of the dev’s portfolio:
https://redmotion-ga.webs.com/portfolio_server.html
Now, I have no qualms about the server prop in question (it looks great), and I realize it’s probably still a WIP, it does seem odd that the chair is so friggin’ high!
I mean, I’d feel uncomfortable sitting on a chair where my feet can’t touch the ground, not to mention that he has to bend quite uncomfortably to reach the keyboard.
So is this the final result or has this already been fixed?
His feet are resting on a stand. Besides, how else are you meant to monitor equipment comfortably when it’s above the height of an average chair?
I just noticed something while playing yesterday, maybe it’s obvious for some of you, but maybe not. Automatic turrets ‘wake up’ and shoot at hornets when you fire them with the hivehand…
I hope we’ll see the same behavior in BM, cause now that I know that, it’s really nice to not get surprised by turrets and know their position
Well, I thought it would be better for the computer and keyboard to be at his height.
These kinds of chairs are common in industries and labs
I hate them though
That’s just stupid. Forgive me if I don’t think you should make one of the more used parts of a suit that is supposed to be able to withstand minor nucelar (I just know I spelled that wrong) explosions out of a skin-tight, incredibly permiable material that rips when a baby touches it.
Jeez, if Black Mesa actually did think that latex was a good material, it’s no wonder they blew up everything with that there Resonasance Cascade. They only took the risks because they didn’t understand them in the first place.
“Ok Gordon, just push that yellow thingy crystal into the port”
“Um, just push it in?”
“Yep, just ram that sucker in there”
“Shouldn’t we be a little more precise? I mean, doesn’t something this unstable deserve a little more care?”
“What are you, a pansy? Push that shit in there!”
“I’m just saying, we should be a little more scientific! This whole room is unsterile! Who knows what contaminents I brought in here on my suit? I’m not even wearing a helmet while handling this supposedly unstable specimen! I can feel my eyeballs drying up and my hair falling out, I pray this doesn’t make me sterile.”
“Push that damn thing in the port, or I swear to god, I’ll come down there and push it in with your face. Now shut your mouth before I stick my cock in it!”
“Fine, jeez”
KABLEWM!!!
the end
Top that.:freeman:
Protip: You can make thicker things out of latex if you want.
I take it you’ve never heard of a condom.
The gloves are clearly made of that black stuff from Spiderman 3.
I think they’re made of science. Soft and comfy science.
Protip: sometimes you shouldn’t take people literally.
Hi, I have a tiny suggestion to make. After looking at the images of the lab in anamalous materials, i noticed how the floor looks a little bit too clean. Assuming the floor is like vinyl then wouldn’t the mass of scientist walking on it over a number of years make it slighty grubby? Also, great job and well done to the developers. Its an amazing effort and Im sure it will be a great success.
I don’t know if this has already been touched on or not but The Hornet gun and the Gluon Gun will be in this correct? I ask cause I didn’t see this in the “weapons section” anywhere so I’m a bit curious.
Yes, of course. Do not let a lack of media scare you with essential parts of Half-Life.
For the future, please ask such questions in this dedicated thread:

I’m guessing they have cleaners to do that.
Speculation about Black Mesa’s cleaning staff aside, Anomalous Materials is meant to serve as a stark contrast to the chaos that is seen in that area immediately following the Resonance Cascade. It’s also meant to create a direct contrast to some of the game’s later levels, where Freeman is required to traverse industrial sectors of the base which have been abandoned for a number of years.
Basically, it’s the epitome of order and cleanliness next to the chaos that follows, and it wouldn’t work as well if you went for the supposedly more realistic option of having spill marks and grubbiness. Besides, I’d imagine that BM would have a pretty efficient cleaning workforce, and you don’t know how old the AM lab is.
I take it you’ve never heard of comedic overemphasis.
But Ok. Gordon’s safe if he wants to handfuck something and not impregnate it or get some sort of alien STD, but what about my point of it not being able to withstand radiation and junk? You don’t see people wrapping themselves in giant contraceptives https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YFC0O393DQ when they want to survive extreme conditions, like toxic sludge or the green frikkin’ apocalypse.
The entire latex metaphor was just a way to say the gloves could use a little more…personality.
Yep, just soak them in spermicide and you’ll be all set. :3
I put the sex metaphor to bed long before you got to it.
You’re just masturbating a dead horse.
Beyond pointless.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
