Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

That’d be my guess.

I like them, they’re true to the original game, but the things on the hand seem a bit 2D.

In the Gluon video.

Old -

New -

Except in the video the clips were shown oldest to newest. The one you’re saying is “new” is actually older.

they didn’t give you enough hints that it was showing old to new?

Still, one would think that the bottom one is closer to the end result than the top.

not necessarily.

We’ll be fixed in few weeks :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmm… it is true that the one on the top looks more as it should from the HEV model:

So perhaps it is closer to the model they are going with.

It’s just that the level of detail is higher on the older one. Perhaps the “new” one is a low-detail placeholder (they aren’t showing us the final version).

At the same time, I hope that the above HEV model isn’t the latest one either…

We’ll see eventually.

But I’m not a dog.

I like how he told you which were old and new.

Can victims be torn apart with powerful weapons like in the original?
In no demo I could see it :\

may sounds silly but something that bugs me (replaying hl1) is that every scientist and security guard knows gordon. even ones who are in lambada core obviously quite a trek from his usual place in the test chamber.

my question is will this be replicated in bms or have the devs thought of this before hand? :\

It’s a close-knit facility. Are you suggesting that every scene be broken by somebody staring at you going, “WTF are you?”

Plus, by the time he gets far enough away from Sector C to not be known, word has gotten out about his exploits against the military.

That’s not true. For example, when you reach the scientists which eventually let you out of the lab in Questionable Ethics, they say “Thank God, a scientist!”, and not “Thank God, Gordon Freeman!”. There are a lot more examples which I am not willing to quote now :stuck_out_tongue:

And there are other npcs who say “You must be Gordon Freeman” implying that they’ve never met you, but were told to expect a killing machine in a crazy orange suit.

The scientists in the anamolous materials labs would know him, those in the surrounding labs would know him through friends. Scientists on the opposite end of the facility would have heard about him by the time he reached them through word of mouth and overhearing military transmissions.

There are several instances where scientists and sec officers don’t call Freeman by his name when they first meet him. Some notice the HEV suit first and then speculate that he was involved in the disaster.

But wait! There’s more!
I remember one scientist saying something like “I don’t know who you are, but judging from that suit I’d say you were the cause of all this.” In the room that opens the Silo Door.

“Judging from your Hazard Suit, I’d say you were part of what went wrong, am I right?”

The scientists in the Lambda Core knew about Freeman because the team in Questionable Ethics radioed ahead.
