You gotta remember that it isn’t really some mod anymore.They’re basicly recreating the whole game using the source engine, i.e. Pretty much it’s a full blown game. And most games take years to make. If you really want this game so soon try re-building it yourself. Come-on, stop pussy footing around, hop to it…
That was one of the most epic necroposts I’ve ever seen.
At one point they say something about the Combine messing with the headcrab’s genes, etc. for use in weaponry, which I think is a more viable explanation for the new headcrabs than them eating something poisonous.
Oh, then in that case, I agree, it’s a much better explanation.

There are outdoor areas, and I’m betting there will be at least one dead scientist gordon will come across. Not saying I’m up for the idea or anything…just thought I would point that out.
It was a cool little detail in the mountain area of Metal Gear Solid 3. If you killed an enemy soldier, within a minute or so, a vulture would fly over to his corpse and start eating it.
Which you could then kill and eat.
leading to a pretty depressing scene later on.
leading to a wave of 13 year olds doing that in real life…

cant you just picture it? player shambling through the desert, comes across a small clearing where vultures feast upon a bullet-ridden scientist. then when you approach the mess, they scatter and fly off squawking, leaving behind a half eaten dood. that’d be cool, right? right?

I don’t know if this has been suggested, but if this is popular enough, I believe Black Mesa should talk with Microsoft to see if they can release this as an add-on for the people who only have the orange box for the Xbox 360.
Actually, that’s only been suggested once or twice… good thought! Oh no, wait, it was suggested about 74 times. It’s not going to happen.
