Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

Quit emphasizing so much, its hurting my brain.

Is it like the one on the chronicles of Riddick game? :retard:

No, no, Metal Gear Solid.

Most games nowadays change the gameplay for online. You will get different guns, abilities and upgrades all the time. Maybe to stop people who are good in the the story mode from absolutely “pwning” people in online play becuase they have trained offline. It gives us a level playing field basically

The video made me laugh, and now I feel guilty. I’m a bad, bad person.

Now I can’t wait to die in Black Mesa. Quicksave FTW.

Maybe on Xen, If you jump in a small “island”, then maybe, it could tilt a little, or maybe if you jump on one, and dead bodies will slide off.

Yikes, considering some of the frustrations that have been communicated on this board about the platforming on Xen, I don’t really think that idea would fly (though I do agree it doesn’t seem right in the case where there’s strictly static islands, they really all should be moving, or given the effect of moving, rotating skybox maybe? if possible).

You felt guilty because you laughed at a game?

Players who easily get motionsick ( not me! ) would heartly disagree on that

Well, they really shouldn’t be playing an FPS to begin with then. :stuck_out_tongue:

I spent almost half my game time trying out different ways to die. There were many chances in HL, for example during underground rail section where the tracks get blown off and you end up under water. But still without much diversity it still lacked that"phun" sense of dying which i got while playing Max Payne 2, took me atleast 3 hour game time getting blown up by explosives and see how far i flew and way i landed due to the Havoc engine.

And thats the ONLY vice i have with the HL series. And looks like its gonna be taken away.

To lazy to check if this was asked or is already planned, but I was wondering if there could be a main menu similar to hl2, the episodes, and portal, how you are looking at a live scene that is moving, I think that would be very exiting to see on the first day of release, much like when all of us played portal and saw the odd room with the strange music. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s been asked a number of times and (although I could be wrong) I don’t think it’s ever been answered. It’s probably one of those things the devs want to keep quiet about until release.

I’m pretty sure the menus will be HL2 style.

Will there be a cinematic Background in the main menu?
Like in HL2, It’s in C17. And when you finish, It’s somewhere else.

Yes. Heck, even Portal Prelude has it!

That was asked three posts and answered one post before yours, λdam…

I think it’d be cool if when you shoot someone and it kills them without gibbing, that blood should seep out around them in a small pool. Maybe have it be shiny? That would be sweet. :awesome:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
