@Slyr: Would you be SERIOUSLY reading papers, with all those headcrabs and zombies hiding?
BTW, in Coop, when wearing the HEV Suit,it would be cool to let the players open all the ‘capsules’ instead of only one.

Why? First maybe there is only on suit reserved for Gordon. What would the purpose of opening a bunch of HEV suits up? You can only wear one.
I said in CO-OP. 2 or + players.
Quote from another thread:
It would be amazing if in BM, there was a 1 in 1000 chance that a gib would be a rubber ducky. Imagine the confusion, the sudden uncertainty of mental capacity, the all-round awesome it would bring.
Yayz, I got quoted.
Needless to say, I support the idea. A 1 in 1000 chance of having a ducky gib appear wouldn’t really be THAT distracting, right?
I wholeheartedly agree with the rubber ducky idea.
As will every other dev.
I’m sure the devs would make it so the dialogue is only said in context.
This would be completely unnecessary and a pain to implement, but do you think when Gordon dies we can see his arms go off to the sides and flop like ragdolls? Maybe drop the weapon?
Um, no.
If you already know that it would be completely unnecessary and a pain to implement, why do you suggest it? Even if it was a good idea, you don’t set your argument up very well.
That plus the fact that it would go against HL1, HL2, EP1, EP2, and Portal.
I would say BS and OF too, but everyone knows they’re not canon.
Having a better death sequence isn’t a bad suggestion at all. In fact we have already done something along these lines. It isn’t what you suggested but it’s a bit more interesting than just dropping to a fixed height parallel to the floor. I think it was a good improvement over what’s in HL2. We replaced a “wow, that sucks, I died, stupid game” with a “hey, that’s kind of cool” moment.
I vote GTAIV black and white slow mo death
I was thinking (and yes, it’s a complete rip off of the Marine’s death at the “hands” of a facehugger in AvP2) headcrabbing would result in first person view of essentially the same thing as the facehugger, just headcrab features instead, and as the screen fades to black and the death message comes up, you hear the generic zombie shrieking, except much louder and fuller than usual.
Of course, this wouldn’t happen very often and should be coupled with “Subject Terminated: Due to Failure of the Most Epic Proportions” or some such, insult should definitely be added to injury.
That would be awesome. The only thing that would make InterloperX’s idea perfect would be to have your player view turned into something like this:
Quick doodle in paint, sorry about the crappy quality. And yeah, that’s supposed to be a headcrab obstructing the player’s view. I couldn’t paint the zombie hands in there, but I guess they should appear as well.
“Subject Terminated: His Crowbar-Fu was not Strong”
I readed sometime ago that you are going to preserve orginal’s HL gameplay for the multi-player mode. I think it is a pretty bad idea. Just imagine how weird it will be to have completly differents gameplay depending of what game mode you are playing. It’s the same game, isn’t it? Imagine how the people that are accustomed to the solo mode gameplay will feel when they will play the multi-player mode. If people wants to play with the original HL gameplay, they just should go play the original HL.
There shouldn’t be any effect on the gameplay depending on what game mode you are playing. I am sure that some people won’t agree with me, and some will. To make everyone happy, I suggest to have the same speed in each mode, that is the most logical solution.
WTF?
