Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

If by hate you mean disagree with occasionally, then yes, everyone hates you. Sheesh, grow a backbone.

I don’t seem to recall any head bobbing in the original Half-Life, but if there was I didn’t notice. Off hand, I would say that the movement would go with Half-Life 2, since that’s the engine that this is being on. I for one was grateful that HL2 didn’t go with any major head movement like other games. When you walk or run, your head obviously moves but you really don’t notice it that much since your eyes are always in a fixed position.

This. We disagreed, and you’re leaving? :fffuuu:

doeess it really chanege something anywa y? soon raw_bean will delete my posts on this topic and i will be forgen by everyone. nobody on these forums had never played any atention to me.

Now that tarp crates (and pick-up-able tarps with cloth physics) are confirmed, my useful and realistic suggestion is that the player be able to trap headcrabs under tarps. They would still jump around and chase you, but their attacks would be blocked by the tarp and do 0 damage.

But they couldn’t see under the tarp so how would they attack you ? :stuck_out_tongue:

afaik headcrabs don’t have eyes in the first place

It’s barely noticeable. If you have Half-Life 1, and the Source version, go run around, and you will probably notice it

I think the weapon bob is most noticeable/necessary.

Whatever other sensory organs they use could still be impeded by the tarp. That’s all supposition of course.

What I feel would seem most natural during gameplay is to have the headcrab jump or walk around as if it can’t see, and maybe even have it panic and jump around wildly.
Might even make for a fun gameplay mechanic.

especially in tight places

like the back of a volkswagon?

I wouldn’t make a habit of it though, if I were you.

precilsely ! ] grammar rape? ]

that’d just be the cutest little thing to ever be put in a violent video game~<3

I support this :3

Then the heads crustation would have to make the little ones wide awake noises squeeking and the heads and the Gordon Freeman would have to be able to reduce and to tighten them to himself for additional health

I have no idea what that was supposed to say.
Grammar is your friend.

I think there should only be new surprise “freak-out” moments if they were randomized every time you play the game, as in, it could happen in various points in the game, if at all. That way the game would have more replay value. Games that are filled with surprises, like horror games, can really only be played once. The second time the suspense is gone.

Do someone talking about me?:retard:
