omg is this a prank call? Genius

This one is awesome

Oh yeah, I remember this one. I still donā€™t know how the caller managed to avoid laughingā€¦ I know I would have failed if I tried.

Itā€™s wasnā€™t brilliant enough.

you can tell he starts laughing everynow and againā€¦ still kinda funny it made me smile but i didnt laugh much

Just the seriousness of it made me laugh.

LOL What an idiotā€¦ Portal technology i would not beleive P.S. Portal was from the creaters of half life and was mentioned hereā€¦ made it more funny

No shit sherlockā€¦

But that was great.

Genius, thanks for posting this up.

It came from a group making a mod that VALVe liked so they were hired.

At least thatā€™s how I remember it. Similar to Day of Defeat and Counter Strike.

Some students at Digipen University (some game school) made a senior project called Narbacular Drop. Valve liked it. They hired some of the Narbacular Drop team to make a game with a similar concept to ND. The end result was portal, as I understand it.

Lol, thats freaking awesome.

That clip was pretty sweet haha.

When he mentioned portal technology I believe he was still talking about Black Mesa, as they were developing portal technology as well. Although the competitor was most definitely Aperture Science from Portal, which you are right in saying was made by a team working at Valve.

Yeah. I heard that after Gabe was shown the game they were hired on the spot. Narbacular Drop was a cool game, I remember trying it out before Portal was released and I was pretty blown away myself.

Good game, never finished it though because thereā€™s no save feature.

This is so funny. ^.o Obviously the host isnā€™t familiar with the Half-Life series.

I know right? Even Howard Stern plays HL.

How did I not notice this video before?

never noticed this video before :O, even tho i searched a lot with the criteria of ā€œfunny half life videosā€ etc etc. post more like these please :stuck_out_tongue: i always liked the funny half life machinimas and stuff like this

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valveā€™s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
