Too be fair, it only talks about “identification check” and “inspection positions”. It wasn’t necessarily outright intended to be violent. But obviously violence isn’t discouraged and is likely rewarded to some extent.
Well, genocide is presumably preferable to total extinction. And as I said before, we don’t really know how much input he had; he’s having to bargain with things who don’t really care about our existence either way, and the only way to stop them from going the simple and easy way and exterminating us is to prove our use to them, one way or another. The terms he wishes to dictate may well have been a better situation for everyone.
