I wouldnt be surprised if you were doing other tasks between HL1 and HL2:
“Not that I wish to imply you have been sleeping on the job”
hidden implications?
U DECIDE

I know the OP has already been analyzed to death, but I’m going to do it anyway in case I point out something nobody else did.
Responses will be in red.
As for the theory of meeting before the RC and then offering him a job if he survived, doesn’t make sense. If Gordon willingly sabotaged an unstable experimental that would cause an RC (this under the one he did know), I doubt G-Man needed to give him the offer after-words. If Gordon was willingly to go through all that for the job, he would accept it without question.
Similar for the first theory of Gordon not knowing about RC. No reason to offer Gordon the job at the end if Gordon has already agreed to do jobs for G-Man.
I would, however, find this sort of concept to be an interesting twist at the end of Ep3. It just needs to be done a little better than how Ballsopt is suggesting it happened…
i never said it happened a certain way, you guys are deciding that
You may not have given a detailed description of how it happened, but your OP sets up some pretty clear parameters. After 4 pages of conversation we’ve pretty much all come to the agreement that most, if not all, of your parameters do not fit into the storyline as we know it. Because of this, whatever possible storyline that involves your suggested parameters is impossible and thus your idea of how it happened is not the correct one.
apparently 5 people equals everyone on this forum.
since you guys are visibly disturbed by my idea and are trying to argue against assumptions with more assumptions, let me put your minds at ease with this exciting new thought process:
Now that I said it, It can’t happen! :retard:
I didn’t say all on the forum, the all I was referring to was in this topic… Granted I skimmed the topic because once a topic reaches 4 pages of un-read material I don’t feel like sitting down and filtering through it all but the impression I got was that your OP doesn’t make sense.
What assumptions? I didn’t see other people’s specific arguments, but I didn’t use assumptions I used common sense and in-game facts. Your OP really doesn’t have many assumptions either… just a lot of horribly misread and misplaced facts that aren’t actually in-game.
i think you need to reread your “arguments,” Mr. Immigration policy
Report back here when you are finished.
reads back through argument
Ok, so I made 1 major assumption by assuming someone must have escaped BM knowing what Gordon did. The rest have little to no assumption in them and are in-game common sense. It isn’t an assumption that Gordon didn’t have time to sabotage anything, it’s just physically impossible as the facts present it.
Assumptions are usually “I can’t prove this is true, but for a second let’s say it is”. Again, for most of my arguments (except the one I’ll admit) I started from a base fact or two and proved my way to my counter-argument. Not an assumption.
Note: Also, I’ve decided from now on I’m just going to totally ignore anything you say since your counter-arguments against me appear to be nothing more than mud-slinging. “Mr. Immigration Policy”? Really? You’re going to counter my argument by attempting to compare it to another argument I made that most people don’t like? Totally uncalled for and childish.
welcome to the jungle.
we’ve got fun and games.
In Blue shift… You will see Gordon Freeman enter the tram.:meh:
and?
i saw someone else make a video where they comprised a theory about what might have been happening just before Gordon arrived at AM, though it’s full of more holes than my brain
I saw hole after hole in that theory. Now, while I don’t have anything to prove that Gordon’s a conspirator, I have heard an awesome theory showing that he is in fact evil.

Lies!
I do, however, think Barney might have been somewhat aware that something was up
I think this is all a bunch of crap, and I can’t wait to see what Valve pulls in Episode 3 to fill in the gaps (or maybe leave them open, whatever they decide). Instead of speculation, I like to stay immersed in the puzzling plot, because that is what draws me to the series so much. I know so little in the grand scheme of things, and am perfectly content with keeping it that way until Valve decides to pull a “Holy Shit! It all makes sense now!” moment.
I don’t like the evil Gordon idea. I play Half Life when I want to feel like a big damn hero. If I want moral ambiguity, I’ll play something else.
Play your flute.
So I have a theory, Valve makes their games, throwing in little things here and there to make it look like there is this massive plot, and THEN lets the community go balls over the new game, coming up with massive intricate plots. When the dust settles, Gabe steps in and picks his favorite, and they make the next installment.
lol at the banging
I was actually mildy terrified that a Valve employee would find this forum and use this shitty theory for Ep3.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
