Google Chrome Problem

When i’m searching for something in google chrome, a bar comes us saying “Did You Mean (Insert Hostname Here)”. I’ve tried going into the Options menu and turning off ‘‘Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors’’ but it didn’t work. How do i fix this?

download firefox.

seriously though i would recommend simply reinstalling the browser. did the problem appear out of nowhere or was there a trigger? do you have it since you use chrome?

you might also want to check your addons/toolbars.

I think i’ll just go back to Firefox.

firefox 4 FTW</not trolling> or internet explorer (download more viruses to cancel out the old ones)

In the Options menu under Basic, do you have “enable Instant for faster searching and browsing” checked… because I would use chrome over firefox any day, and it’d be retarded to switch browsers just because you can’t get the omnibox to work.

Agreed.

Also I believe you can check a setting to make sure that you’re always using the latest (beta) version of Chrome… I’ve never had a problem with beta versions of the browser and they are always awesome.

Edit: The betas are usually whole version numbers ahead.
