whats a good anti virus software???
I use SuperAntiSpyware. It’s like $30 for a lifetime subscription for two computers and it’s really good. It’s saved my ass a couple of times and I’ve been using it for years.
AVG+Malwarebytes’
Common sense.
That said, either avast or Microsoft security essentials will serve you well.
Yeah, MS Security Essentials + Spybot Search& Destroy + Common Sense and you won’t have any problems.
I sometimes use bogstandard AVG free, but on the computer’s I’m currently using Avira, free. Virus free for a very long time (since I gained common sense).
And as everyone above says, use common sense and you won’t get a virus.
Again, plugging ESET NOD 32. It managed to save my ass when I mistakenly almost brought home a conficker variant from a school Mac computer. God, the techs hated me when I told them about it.
Microsoft Security Essentials and basic common sense has kept me safe for quite some time. Malwarebytes has also proven useful for cleaning up other people’s PCs, so that is also good in the off chance you happen to catch something anyways. As long as you are fairly knowledgeable around PCs, you can stick with free stuff. Heck, even if you aren’t too good with computers free stuff will usually work great.
This.
Another suggestion is to never ever go on the Internet ever.
Avast works pretty well for me.
If you have Comcast Internet, you can go on their website and download XFINITY Constant Guard and Norton Security Suite. Works pretty well.
Also, Malwarebytes is a great combo with this.
