Now that’s a great anime.
i dont get it
Its a joke played off the now cliche “girl who is late running with toast in her mouth” because its now considered cliche it doesn’t happen as much but back when it was a just considered a troupe it was more common. But even not knowing this, how do you not get it, its just supposed to be silly.
Some cool anime song mashups for you anime fans -
Bout to start watching Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight. Heard it was pretty good, will see how it goes.
Just watched Eden of the East and Maid Sama, both were really good. Trying out Devil May Cry now.
Edit: Finished Devil May Cry. It was pretty good for an action/fighting series, but then again I’ve never liked the genre. They always seem to be so lacking in terms of character development and character depth. More action than actual valuable storyline. That said, it was still definitely worth watching.
I recently watched Paranoia Agent and really recommend it, it’s pretty damn great. I also watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica, it’s okay I guess, a little boring since I didn’t care for any of the characters, I had the same problem with Summer Wars.
Paranoia Agent is fucking wild. Easily one of my favorite animes. From start to finish, it’s a right head fuck.
With the twist at the end of Paranoia Agent, I was all “they can’t be serious.”
And then they were.

Started watching Mirai Nikki, I’m only 2 eps in but I’ve decided I love this show. Its still subs only though.
Spice and Wolf was a very good series. I was too lazy to really follow much of the specific details of the plot; it involves a lot of complex trading shit, however I feel the series hardly suffered for my disinterest in the fine points. My main gripe would be that the story was not given nearly enough closure.perhaps a budgeting issue forced an early ending or something?
A lot of times animes don’t have much closure, because they need room for a sequel. However since second seasons of anime are decided on after DvD/Blu-Ray release typically a lot of times they never get that second season.
Edit: In this shows case, we would be talking about the same issue but with a third season. According to wikipidea the novel ran until 2011 and the last season was made in 09 so they may have been waiting on source material. You never know with anime, there still may be a 3rd season to come.
Oh no, they’re not waiting for new material. There’s like 17 novels to 25 episodes in Spice and Wolf, so there’s a lot of shit to adapt. But seeing as the novels are finished, I’m having a hard time picturing a third season actually happening.
I read somewhere that the shows like this are almost developed as a commercial to the novels, I might’ve read that wrong because I’m fucking retarded, but if that’s the case then season 3 doesn’t seem that likely.
Well I ask you this because I am too lazy to look up anymore. Did Spice and Wolf do well in Japan? Because as far as anime goes if it sells they will almost always make more.
Watched Mirai Nikki…then Deadman Wonderland…then Sekirei…now watching Karas
Just finished Bakemonogatari. The ending was very good, however there wasn’t enough focus on the love interest and the whole think had a bit too much of an abstract feel more tastes. Sill a good anime though, Id recommend it.
I know someone else recommended this, but Cyber City Oedo 808. It’s a three part OVA series, it’s real good.
Episode one.
Episode two.
Episode three.
I was not at all a fan of Paranoia Agent. The series was far to abstract for me. Neither it’s supernatural elements nor it’s reality were clearly defined so you were often left confused as to what was actually happening and what was just stylized.
