goddd i wanna fuckin play Red Dead Redemption already

ODST is the closest you’re getting to that :stuck_out_tongue:

But has anyone here played Red dead revolver?

Redemption looks to be the best example of a “re imagining” (without bastardization) the gaming industry’s ever seen. Or at least me.

played this game allday its rad

I hadn’t even heard of this til now and even though I’m not into “western” games, I went and watched THIS. Looks pretty freaking sweet! I’m definitely going to try this one.

I have Red Dead Revolver. I really enjoyed playing it until I couldn’t get past one of the bosses no matter what I did and have only played it once since. Hmmm, think I’ll fire up the old xbox

Red Dead Redemption is way too addicting. I’ve been playing it on PS3. I finally made a PSN account, add me if you want, I’m using the PSN “Elpants” (go figure)

I’m about 30% done with the game and about 8 hours in. It’s one of the kind of games you can play for 4 straight hours and not realize it. I’ve done a lot of dicking around and kept forgetting I even had missions to do.

Multiplayer is fun and somewhat unique. It’s fairly easy so far, but from watching my brother who is much farther than I am it seems to get a little harder for a few missions. Yea it is a lot like GTA (derp), but it has it’s own defining differences, like there aren’t tons of guns to choose from, Not too much difference between horses and for the most part you always have your own and don’t ever need to steal them.

It’s kinda hard to be a truely evil guy unless you just try killing everyone you see because the result of all the main missions just gives you more fame and honor as there aren’t really that many moral choices to make.

There were some bugs that made people invisible, but an update yesterday fixed it.

Overall, the game is fun as hell, pretty addictive, unique gameplay and setting (comparing to the 9000+ Modern/Future based shooters out today). Rent it if you want, but this is, in my opinion, a must own game.

i literally played it for all of today im such a homo goddd

Red Dead Redemption > Everything

This game is great. Defiantly not a rent. It’s a must have. Can’t wait to see downloadable content or even episodes like gta.

Picking this one up tomorrow, looks frickin’ awesome. It will be refreshing in it’s own just playing in an underused setting in games.

Gun was a pretty good game in my opinion, but nothing compared to red dead redemption

Me and my girlfriend have been playing this coop since release and it just killed my 360.(Well actually the shoddy craftmanship did) Graphics card started over heating.

gta4 did the same thing to my last 360 lol. rockstar own

Red Steel 2 mixes western with Japanese culture (Mostly western though). Its pretty fun If you have a Wii that is.

From what I’ve seen, this game seems way Too easy, like, not challenging at all

Well, have you played it? No. So you can’t really comment on it then. It starts off easy, but later on I’m sure it gets much harder. Played it today for like 5 hours, it’s fucking awesome, way better than GTA IV.

It gets more difficult, you are correct.
It’s more than awesome, whatever that is.
In my opinion, anything is better than GTA4. ;p

it’s not really sure - like it was with GTA IV. i think it’s like always with Rockstar-games: they’ll bring it out later with better GFX for the PC and don’t give us much information before the PC-release. but that’s just what i think because german PC-gamesmags are writing about it. but i will get it for 360, too - can’t wait for the PC-version and it looks far much better than GTA IV on the 360.

Yeah, except when the PC version of IV came out it was terribly unoptimized, Rockstar aren’t exactly know for their PC ports.

Doubleposting, but is there any point to the things you collect such as herbs and pelts besides selling them? It would be cool if you could craft items from the things you collect, or actually use the herbs for medicinal purposes instead of just selling them. But I’m not really that far in yet so I might be wrong.

you can also give them to an old man for his wife. (she will prob turn out to be dead or something tho)

basically just let the stuff you accumulate pile up it doesnt usually sell for much and sometimes you need it for lil side missions and such

It would of been better if you could craft stuff out of the pelts you collected. I really wanted to kill a raccoon and make a Davey Crockett hat. :frowning:
