Red Dead Redemption is way too addicting. I’ve been playing it on PS3. I finally made a PSN account, add me if you want, I’m using the PSN “Elpants” (go figure)
I’m about 30% done with the game and about 8 hours in. It’s one of the kind of games you can play for 4 straight hours and not realize it. I’ve done a lot of dicking around and kept forgetting I even had missions to do.
Multiplayer is fun and somewhat unique. It’s fairly easy so far, but from watching my brother who is much farther than I am it seems to get a little harder for a few missions. Yea it is a lot like GTA (derp), but it has it’s own defining differences, like there aren’t tons of guns to choose from, Not too much difference between horses and for the most part you always have your own and don’t ever need to steal them.
It’s kinda hard to be a truely evil guy unless you just try killing everyone you see because the result of all the main missions just gives you more fame and honor as there aren’t really that many moral choices to make.
There were some bugs that made people invisible, but an update yesterday fixed it.
Overall, the game is fun as hell, pretty addictive, unique gameplay and setting (comparing to the 9000+ Modern/Future based shooters out today). Rent it if you want, but this is, in my opinion, a must own game.
