Gmod black main screen error

I’m going to explain my problem through the medium of poem…nahhhhh

So my problem is that when ever I start up g mod I see the loading picture of the guy with a gravity gun and crows, but as soon as I enter the main screen all I can see is a black screen with my mouse flickering.

It makes me cry!

I have tried re-installing it and restarting steam.

Update video drivers and verify the cache.

If that doesn’t work, stop, drop and roll.
