Keep in mind that Black Mesa knew where Aperture Science was and vice versa.
After the invasion began, Black Mesa was nuked, and Aperture Science shutdown deep within the earth and began to rot.
I doubt some resistance members would stumble upon such a hard-locked superfacility that is hidden underground, unless they found the Borealis first.
But wait… The Borealis dissapeared from the shipping dock, crew members and all.
