Get Black Mesa on Steam! We can do it!

Voted. at 25%

I’m impressed at how fast the bar is filling. Awesome!

That just means that most of the fans have already voted. Don’t expect the bar to reach 100% by the time BM is released! And a few days after Release, normal mirror servers should be as convenient as Steam.

I hope the marketing campaign will continue. It would lead to a more persistant news coverage of BM and probably attract more people to greenlight.

And while it’s kinda depressing that the bar is kinda stuck in the last few hours, it’s on the other hand unbelievable that BM actually climbed with a 1%-per-hour-rate (even faster in the beginning).

However, I don’t think that it’s going to stay there for long. Slender’s been up for over 160 hours. I’m really looking forward to the moment when Black Mesa will be up for that long time.

Steam Greenlight is down. I think we might have overwhelmed their server \o/

LOL! Good…job… BM Team? :stuck_out_tongue:

seems to be back up now

I just checked and it works again

Clap, clap

26% should put us into the number 3 spot I believe.

Time to go for the gold. Show no mercy. > :frowning:

e: BLAST!

Nope tied for 3rd with No More Room in Hell - 26%

Its showing me 26% I think Valve is secretly upping the number of votes we need just to see how far they can push it?

My guess is that hardly anyone knows BM:S is on Greenlight because they didn’t announce that with the initial release date announcement. Now it’s a community effort…word of mouth etc.

YES!

I bet if this were some sort of kickstarter-project, we’d prolly already hit 30000 $

I’m surprised more people haven’t voted. With the reactions towards the lack of HL3, I would think more people would be pushing for this. It will sort of reinvigorate the soul with that good ol’ Half-Life experience, which may hold me over for a while longer.

Guys, its all good… really, as many times as we are going to be replaying this mofo, what difference does it make if we get it from a mirror or torrent for first playthrough… then uninstall and reinstall on steam after the fact. I am planning on doing this either way, because the steam downloads are virtually guaranteed to be slow, should BMS be available on steam and they pull the trigger next Friday at 10:47am Eastern.

Or am I missing something?.. could it be available as sooner, as it hits 100% on GreenLight?.. sorry if I missed that bit…

No, I don’t think it matters THAT much. At the end of the day, we’ll all find a way to obtain it. That being said, it would be nice exposure for the developers, I would imagine. I just find it odd that more people aren’t as freaked out about this as we, on this forum, are.

Its not going to be sooner… I think its more the prestige… I just think it would be awesome if Valve had this. Of course we are going to all be foaming at the mouth searching for the fastest download and not do the steam thing until after but its the point of being officially ok’d by valve… I just think they want to see how it does…

This is a seriously bad ass mod.

No not sooner. In fact it’s not guaranteed that it’s going to be available at September 14 after the counter expires, even if it has the required amount of votes.

But, it’s gonna make updates easier, and also steam achievements possible, and it will be cool and all!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
