Swedish site FZ made another news article about BMS.
This time they told everyone to go vote for us @ Greenlight.

The first 24 hours and we’re a quarter of the way in. Not too shabby at all.
There’s no doubt at all that this will get on Steam, it’s already in the top 5 most rated games.
The only question is how much time there will be between achieving the required percentage (perhaps not even 100% needed) and the game actually appearing on steam. Are there steps in between?
Do you devs know this?
Luckily on release day, we’ll have the torrents, Steam is only an optimistic plan B
I am sad panda that Routine is only in 5th. I feel like it deserves second. [GO VOTE FOR IT PEOPLE!] I mean, is it just me or is Slender: Source REALLY over-hyped?.. Especially considering the quality of the content they are currently showing off is nothing special. Then there is Zomboid and NMRIH. Both look decent in their own right, but as far as I’m concerned, not as cool as Routine. (I’m amazed NMRIH actually came out, I thought that was dead years ago. Nice to see they still have the one zombie wearing and LPU 4.0 shirt, haha.)
And of course I think Black Mesa should be #1… that’s a given. And considering how long the other top 3 games have been on Greenlight and how quickly BM has been gaining likes, I’d say it’s only a matter of time until we take the lead! — It’s a guarantee this will get on Steam though regardless of it’s final percentage, it’s top notch and Valve knows it even without all the votes. Also, wouldn’t it be a great publicity move for Valve to have the first game they put on Steam through Greenlight be a remake of one of their own products?! :freeman:
The real question is, will Valve be able to get this up in time? I imagine there is a bunch of technical tasks that must be completed as well as probably some legal stuff to sort out with the team regarding distribution rights and whatnot. That all doesn’t just happen over night… or maybe it does. I don’t know.
I don’t expect it to be up by the release, but it may be on steam by the end of next week.
If this gets close to 100% by the release, I may actually hold out until it’s on Steam, just for the convenience.
Lies
I’d give it a day or two, maybe. The easier install and other Steam features would be worth it. If it takes much longer though, screw that, show me the download options.
Getting from 24 to 25% took some time…hopefully the rest of the world will show some more enthusiasm towards BM once they’re up and awake.
BM is at the 3rd / 4th place, with currently 25% - that’s a 3% increase in 3 hour.
The main competitor is Slender Source? WTF?! Spectacular recreation of one of the best shooters ever, and probably best source mod ever created versus… a mod about looking for paper notes and retarded scarecrow[/SIZE]!!!
No, no, I think this can easily stand it’s ground against Black Mesa. The story is amazing, and look at that wicked awesome lighting.
Slender does not seem to be competition at all. It’s just that it’s been longer up for voting. But yeah, I do admit that after voting for black mesa, i checked slender out to see what the fuss is about, and then upvoted it just for the heck of it.:retard:
I thought BM’s main competition was Stides Mesa: Sauce?
I removed my vote from Slender. What was I thinking when I upvoted that shit?
Speaking about stides: He seems to be unbanned. Where is he?
Slender is down at 16%, probably a bunch of people voted down?
Still at 30% for me.
just a bug, it’s 30% still and downvotes doesn’t do anything other than not voting yes, it doesn’t affect the result
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
