Get Black Mesa on Steam! We can do it!

Seems like it has been removed

no it isn’t, probably greenlight bug

Good to hear… my hart took an extra pause there.

God what’s wrong with all the people? Last night I voted it in, was at an outrageous 30%.

Today I checked, 16%, so people are actively voting against it, WTF doods?!

Seems like there’s 3 separate groups of servers, one where the original count is, one with the new count, and one where the page doesn’t exist. At this rate, by the 14th every alternate universe will be merged into one!

Ohhh, so it’s like steam beta all over again? Fun times!

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/68272416/greenlight-wierdness2.png It’s a glitch. The ‘true’ count seems to be up to 33% now.

wow, where did you get that graph from?

I made it. https://www.stewartatkins.co.uk/greenlight/ if you’re interested (not planning on running it long term, i only put it together so i could keep an eye on black mesa).

Okay, either way, 33%.

I was gonna suggest possibly that the fluctuation is between two “total” vote numbers. Like, we think that the mod needs 100,000 to reach Greenlight right? What if instead of going between two vote counters, it’s going between 100,000 as the necessary total and some other higher number. But I just realized its probably two counters or something else, because Slender Source would be still very close to Black Mesa in the “Alternate Universe”. Valve really needs to work out this shite code. :meh:

I know this isn’t related completely but… what happened to Slender: Source. I just loaded up https://www.shrewdlogarithm.com/greenlight.htm#[[4,1]] , and it’s not there anymore. It makes me worry about Black Mesa to see another Source engine creation disappear.

If we have 2 “universes” then we are still at second place since Slender has 31% and 29% and we “only” have 33% and 17%.

Still on the official Steam Greenlight page.

What happens if the glitch-o-verse catches up and passes our universe. WHat will we do then?

Ahhhhh! I don’t know how to get the desktop widget to work! Head asplodes

“Black Mesa Dev Team rocks” would work I think.

Or “Vote for Black Mesa on Steam because I said so”
:3

Dunno. How bout a driver’s license or ID or something? Sufficiently censored, of course. I remember jeanpaul did that last time he appeared on reddit. Nobody can dispute that. :stuck_out_tongue:

But honestly it doesn’t matter. Legit Spider-Waffle or not, any help in spreading the word would be awesome.

I’ve only heard about this mod in July when a friend who is also waiting for this told me about it. I’m happy that this mod is finally coming to reality!

Also, some people say they see 17% or 33% and claim it’s 50%. I’m watching a chart on Black Mesa’s progress. It says 33%. I’m going with that.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
