Get Black Mesa on Steam! We can do it!

Can you downvote? I was under the impression that you can either vote or pass.

I dont think you can decrease the “Yes”-Votes. That would be stupid.

You can only say Yes, or “No” which equates to pass.

Oh, wow. That’s a lot.

Under hell and Nightmare house 2 were not uploaded by the author, the Portal 2 mod was though.

Yes, you can downvote.

Dunno if it affects the totals, though.

Steam has posted that it isn’t a solid amount of votes required, but that they are going to look at the volume of votes that the most popular games get, and weight the actual requirement on that in the future.

And no’s don’t affect the amount, it just marks it as passed so it won’t show up for you again in the “Here’s your dozen, now vote” page.

From General FAQ: Patch support is planned.

Also in the case of Synergy, they didn’t have permission to distribute the content used in there mod.

So there is a possibility that since it has only been a tenth what slender source has been and we already have half the votes we might be able to get this in before 100% is reached?

If valve decides to use the amount the most popular mods actually manage to get as the weighting factor, than there is a chance that it could happen before they get to 100%. That, however, is contingent on Greenlight running the numbers and making the decision, which we have no control over when will actually happen.

How long will it take a game to be released after it reaches 100% on greenlight? How does that work?

Is it theoreticaly possible if we reach 100% before the annonced release time the game gets released sooner on steam?

No.

Not quite. Think of it like this, you can pre-order Steam games. It’s unreleased, but it’s on Steam. Black Mesa would be like that. On Steam but unreleased.

All it means is that they will be allowed to post their game on Steam. for all we know, even if we succeed before release, technicalities might make it take longer for it to be available on Steam.

So no, 100% on Greenlight DOES NOT equal early release.

Just wanted to express my excitement and appreciation for the mod. Definitely voted for this and will encourage friends to also.

Basically, reaching 100% before the release day doesn’t mean it’ll be on Steam on release day since we don’t know how long it takes for the games to be hosted there.

Is anyone good with Steam Friends communications? Do you know how to spam messages to your friends list?

14%, think that makes us #7 on Greenlight.

How many % is it?

14%…

Could you imagine how rocking awesome it would be if we got to the top 3 in the first 24 hours?!!!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
