German version of the Orange box engine...

Ok im afraid that i will have not much fun playing Black Mesa when it comes out because my version of Half life Episode 2 is cut… :meh:
That means:

-blood has a gray colour
-deactivated ragdoll effects
-enemys fade away after you kill em

When i play mods for Half life 2 that use the orange box engine, the mods seem to use my Episode 2 settings which means the enemys still fade away and i have gray blood. Im afraid that the same thing will happen to Black Mesa.
Does anyone know what i can do to keep the enemys from fading away?
Ive already set “g_ragdoll_lvfadespeed” to 0, and they wont fade away anymore after i kill them but the game will crash a lot.

Play BM from pirated HL2?

get the uncut version of OB and tell the steamsupport that they should replace your cut version with your uncut import

As far as I know, mods are only cut if Episode 2 is a requirement. But since Black Mesa runs on any Source Engine game, it should not use the cut Episode 2 content.

I had the same thought about my uncut version of Episode Two, so I started to search a bloodpatch and I found a good one which works quite well. I’ll search the site I got it from and then I’ll post the link…

Edit: Alright, I found the site I downloaded the patch from. It’s a german website, you just have to click on the link named “Hl2: Episode 2 Uncut Patch”. I hope I could help. Have fun.

I hope that is true. A censored “Black Mesa” is really no fun…

Shit, I’ve forgotten to post the link. :fffuuu:

Here it is: https://shooter-szene.4players.de/index.php?module=Downloads&func=display&lid=2711

And I thought the Austrailian censor was skiddish about violence…

Yeah, they’re rather similar in censoring. :\

I hate living in america, but at least we get to keep our rape and gore intact.

edit: sometimes we even get gore-rape.

Ah yes… gore-rape. It’s a favorite American pastime.

Next, on FOX: World’s Funniest Home Gore-Rape!

America, Hot Coffee.

(When San Andreas came out and they were getting rid of the hot coffee version I convinced my dad hot coffee means its more addicting so youd stay up all night, when we bid on a hot coffee one on ebay we didnt win the bid though)

you don’t even need to download that, just extract the files, that are in the LW gcf, out of the other GCF files and done

Come to Belgium, you’ll like it here. Well, maybe not.
