GeForce GTX 480

Hi has anyone heard of Nvidia GeForce GTX 480 its pretty new buy very expensive; about 450 to 550 GBP Thats about 680$ to 840$ USD.

But the specs are amazing

Memory Clock (MHz): 1848
Standard Memory Config:1536 MB GDDR5
Maximum Digital Resolution: 2560x1600
Maximum VGA Resolution: 2048x1536
Standard Display Connectors: Mini HDMI Two Dual Link DVI

You can find the rest of specs here  https://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gtx_480_us.html

There was already a thread about the Fermi, also I prefer ATI

Fermi?, ATI Sucks at gaming graphics btw :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course ATi sucks. They only have faster, smaller, cooler-running cards that you can buy for less money. Most terrible company on earth!

If money is no object for you, go nVidia. If you do not mind getting a little less performance for a dramatically lower price, ATI would be the way to go…

We already had a thread like this, the verdict was that the 480 was an overpriced heater that was slightly faster than the 5870.

Fermi = GTX4xx series

Meh.:meh:

Someone’s looking a bit butthurt.

Meh.:meh: Again.

here

Sigh.
Thank you eternalness.

I seen this thread on my monthly “any new BM news yet” flyby and just sigh. Average people (and fanboys) talking about hardware makes me sad.

Also those specs are nothing to care about.

I’ve been an Nvidia fan for a long time, but I can’t argue with the numbers. Got my brother an ATI card for christmas.

Same here, currently have a GTX285 and before that other NVIDIA cards such as the 9800GX2 and 7900GT. I would totally go for ATI right now.
