Gearbox Rebooting Duke Nukem Franchise

After packaging up and polishing what they could of now defunct 3DRealms title for over a decade in the making, only to have it end up as a total flop - they are rebooting the series after A:CM is done:

Thoughts? I personally think this could be a good thing, but with anything as always we have to wait and see.

As long as it’s no longer in George Broussard’s hands I think it might be an actual good game this time.

Seriously, what was fuck was 3DR thinking with DNF? There were like 2 fun levels in the game, the rest of the SP was a complete waste of time.

Damnit where’s the real sequel to Brothers in Arms

I’ll just see how this plays out.

^^ I’m more interested in borderlands 2 though.

fuck borderlands, alien is where it’s at

It can’t be any worse than DNF. Good luck to them, I’d play a solid Duke Nukem game if someone made one.

I’d have Duke return to his golden-era action-hero macho personality parody instead of this new completely overboard immature and sexist one.

Chrillen, I’d like you to meet my friend Serious Sam.

Sounds like some kind of horrific monster.

When you say reboot…do you mean the original side scrolling games too? Only remade as FPS or…

That. Would be. Awesome.

Indeed.

If you have video share with us i want to watch the video.

No, just no.

You don’t know NUTTIN…

…about ANYTHING…

uh

Oh yeah this is a total shocker considering Pichford didn’t say exactly this was going to happen shortly after they bought out the IP and were working on forcing out 3dRealm’s “masterpiece” that is DNF…

I’m stoked for A:CM, and slightly less excited than that for Borderlands 2… I would like to see Duke brought back in a true Gearbox fashion. :freeman:

Yeah. That puzzled me too.
