Garrys mod wont download maps

I know this is Black Mesa forum, but whatever.

Okay… When I’m trying to download a map from another server, it just keep downloading (and there isnt even appearing bars.)

And, when I’m trying to make my own game, it says “not responding” just before it should be downloaded and ready. I kept it there about 45min and nothing happened.

Please respond. Thnx.

Well, is it GMod 9 or GMod 10? I don’t actually know the answer for either, but it’s still an important piece of information.

Have you tried downloading the maps off the internet then directly adding them to the game?

Or if the server is using a toybox map then make sure the map is in this directory;

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\[USERNAME]\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons\toybox\maps

I have gmod 10.

I havent tried to download the map from direct url, because I dont want to download every map, that I play, from direct url.

I made an account here, because I cant wait for BMS release and I want to see the news of it.

I think you can understand me even though Im from Finland.

I have tried these tricks:

console: sv_lan 0 and 1

delete my cache -file

And other that I cant remember.

Try verifying your game cache. You might be missing some files.

If that doesn’t work, then try reinstalling the game. (save your addons first)

And if that doesn’t work then… ¯(°_o)/¯
