Gaming Mouse

I want a good, wired, gaming mouse. I prefer over (or equal to,) 1800 dpi, must be less than $50. What do some of you guys have? I’m using a wireless Logitech generic that won’t tell me what it is at the moment.

EDIT: Really liking the Death Adder.

I would recommend you the Razer Copperhead because it perfectly fits into the hand an is incredibly comfortable, but the left mouse button dies really fast, so the Death Adder would be a better choice.
I have the Razer Lachesis, works pretty good and fits good into my hand but not as good as my old beloved Copperhead

My mouse is a $15 knock off of the death adder and it’s really ergo dynamic, so I’d recomend it, but I think buying an expensive mouse is a little excessive; I aim as well as anyone else if not better with my shitty Chinese mouse.

What mouse would that be? Do any buttons stick?

It’s a viewsonic MU660. Non of the buttons stick. the one problem with it is the extra two buttons aren’t programmable so you can’t do anything with them but tell a web browser to go back or forward.

I wouldn’t bother, I’ve used a regular 3 button mouse for years with no problems. If the buttons die or stick on these fancy gaming mice it’s probably not worth the extra money. The one thing I would suggest is to not use a laser mouse, in my experience they tend to be over prone to dirt.

Either way, your decision.

Couldn’t find it. D:

what else do you suggest?
A mouse with a ball?

No, a cube. :expressionless:

But yes, I’ve gone into far too many ceiling spins because of my parents rubbish laser mouse to ever consider using one again.

My room is a rather clean environment.

Personally I use the standard logitech marble mouse, and its served me very well. Most people I know hate it, but to me its perfect for gaming and gives me really great accuracy

Something like this:

I have that exact mouse in a box. Never really used it. I want a “conventional” mouse though.

This is what i have.

It has adjustable dpi, 10 programmable buttons, and fits my giant hands great.

I’ll buy it from you! I have the older revision with only 2 buttons and the laser isn’t working as well as it should…

I’m 100% serious, if you’re interested let me know

EDIT: PM’ed so as not to spam
EDIT:EDIT: You should’ve gotten a PM by now :stuck_out_tongue:

Definitely. What were you thinking price wise? I’ll post a pic- it’s not all that used.

EDIT: Just saw a site saying it was 130 USD, and another saying 100. I didn’t think it cost that much. :stuck_out_tongue:
EDIT:EDIT: I haven’t gotten a PM. :S

Just don’t get a ball mouse. I don’t care who’s had bad experiences with cheap laser mice, if you get a ball mouse, you’ll need to clean it out with tweezers fairly frequently once dust starts getting into it. Also, get a mousepad, if you don’t have one already, because any dust or debris on the bottom of the mouse will slow down movement on either kind.

This thread has now become relevant to my interests.

I’ve never had any problems with my cheap $10 Logitech… Current one has polished spots on the buttons where my fingers sit and it still works great… but still, I think a few extra buttons would be nice…

If you don’t need extra buttons and don’t care about the uselessly large dpi on most gaming mice, buy this thing: viewsonic MU660. It’s an insanely cheap knock-off, but I have yet to have a single problem with it. I think I’ve had it for 5+ months now.

I’ve got a Saitek Cyborg Mouse and I like it quite a bit. It’s got adjustable DPI and 6 fully programmable buttons. It fits my hand really nice.
