It’s ALMOST certain that I will get a Galaxy S.
IM GETTING IT TOMORROW, so I’m quite desperate.
Is it good? Or is there other things that are better and in the same price range?
I love my HTC incredible S, it plays 720p at full speed in any flash player (not just youtube). So far, every other phone I’ve had the chance to try was at 1-2FPS with HD flash videos, even the Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core Atrix 4G.
The Inc S has the ATI-based graphics card (adreno 205) while the Galaxy S has the PowerVR SGX 540 (faster than SGX 535 in iphone 4), which is roughly the same speed as the Adreno 205, so it should do great in games.
I’ve been looking at the new Epic 4G Touch. You should get it.
Meh, those shit are expensive. And I don’t need the 4g. I have a fast ass wifi + not much use outside of home.

Verizon doesn’t carry the Galaxy S2 (you told me you were on Verizon, right?). I’d go for the Incredible 2 if you’re looking for a good phone on a budget

Do you have an Incredible or an Incredible 2 Ram? My Inc 2 is very nice. Freeman, the Galaxy S is sorely outdated by now. Hm, the Fascinate (verizon’s Galaxy S) is like, $40, and the Incredible 2 is $150. The Droid X2 is only $100, and is much better than the Galaxy S.

Its significantly better. Trust me, if you get the Fascinate, you’re going to regret not spending a little extra cash to get a more future-proof phone. Its happened to me multiple times now.

The Galaxy Nexus was just announced with Google’s Latest OS: Android 4.0
All the phones you are talking about are running Android 2.x. They won’t likely be updated, and even if they are, it wont have all the new features.
Basically, this is like buying an XP computer the week before win7 comes out. Why would you do that. Wait for the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon. Its a two year contract you have to sign. Think about that!

I can put ice cream sandwich on my IncS as soon as they cook a custom rom for it, apart from the low-res screen there is literally nothing about it that isn’t good enough for me.
Except that that shit costs like fucking 300 bux. I moved to America, with no source of money except for which my dad sends us, and that’s all my family gets.
