Aw :frowning:

It’s HL3 dude, how many times do they have to say that ?

Since when did it go from being Episode 3 to HL3?

I thought they were doing to do Episode 3 then do HL3 as a separate game focusing on a different character with no more Gordon?

No … https://www.play-mag.co.uk/ps3/when-we-announce-half-life-3-well-do-it-our-own-way-says-valve-only-in-games-123/

fixed it for ya

Once again, you need to read AND comprehend the articles before you try to use them in an argument. The article was about moving from sequel games to a service model. So, after the L4D games, rather than developing and publishing a new game, they are doing like TF2, which is adding to the game over time, with weapons, characters ect. which is possible with steam, and the new features cost money, and that is the revenue stream instead of the cost of a whole new game. There is nothing in the article about half life, episodes or otherwise.
Now, you may be right, but so far all you have is baseless speculation an innuendo, much like how all the shepfags in here insist valve will use shep in the next/future games. So, if you are, you can come back here and necro what will be an old ass thread and go thumb your proverbial nose and say “iwasriteiwasrite” but by that time no one will care anyway.
So, in summary, learn to comprehend what you read instead of looking for tidbits that confirm your speculation and you will be a better person, and these forums will be a better place

Half Life 2:Episode 3? Or not Episode 3: That is the question.

Yeah, they will release Episode Three 7 years after announcement … “facepalm” then extra 10 years for HL3 :meh:

Valve does stuff like that, like releasing l4d2 less than a year after the first one.

LFD2 wasn’t an episode meant to be released every six months.

There are all sorts of things valve might or might not do. They released a game and a sequel within a year. They released two more sequels of major titles and a sequel of a mod as a full game all before releasing the third installment of their flagship series that was promised in 2008. All of this while being one of the most profitable companies on the planet. THEY DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. They are updating their tools and improving their software to make game designing on the source engine easier. They have not however said anything to the contrary of their previous statements about the next half life installment being called half life 2, episode 3

OP, you should have posted this one; Gabe Newell at E3 2012 this video actually made me laugh.

I love the Valve icon of the guy with the valve in his head.

Hitler still isn’t happy about this.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
