G-man

I don’t think he’s a combine leader when he wants our ‘‘hero’’ (Gordon Freeman) to ELIMINATE the combine from earth, and for what I know the combine ‘‘leaders’’ are those slug-like aliens, the Advisors

(why did I put ‘’ on leaders? cause they seem to give orders to breen but I don’t know if it’s true)

Maybe because of engine limitations? I think you may be right but when he says employers, he probably means he works for an alien race that we haven’t seen him in game yet. I doubt he’d be lying, he even says he would like to act directly but he’s not allowed (unless that’s just an excuse for being lazy :stuck_out_tongue: )

G-Man is simply a man who works for the government and watched how many soldiers Gordon Freeman managed to kill. He saw this and thought how he could use Gordon as a worker for the government. I don’t think valve took much thought in creating him and simply just used him represent the government.

Advisors are not the Combine, but i think they have a very important part in combine. Marc Laidlaw stated that "Saying Advisors are the combine is like saying a Roman senator is the Roman Empire

I’d like to:

  1. restate my theory that gman is a representative for an alien mercenary-like company and watches people like Freeman and Shepard while they go through events like the resonance cascades and the rebellion.
And 2) Tell all you dumbasses who keep putting posts saying gman is Freeman from the future should just leave this thread and never use a half life forum again.

I think you should never use any forum again if you want people to never use a Half-Life forum again just because they posted their own opinion.

:mono:

That doesn’t explain his powers and why he’s never attacked by an enemy does it?

Yeah well it just pisses me off a lot cuz I deal with people who believe this and intentionally use this theory to piss me off even more about gman. Like a waiter giving you the wrong drink over and over or somethin.

Anyway back on the subject of gman.

I actually had a conversaton via email with Gabe Newell on this. He said that…well, I don’t actually want to ruin it, so highlite this if you want to see whan he said. I colored the text black so as not to spoil the surprise. He said: [COLOR=‘Black’]Bwahahaha if you even tried, dumbass! You think I know Gabe? How gullible are you?

That would get annoying, yes, however people are just trying to express their opinions, obviously their opinions are shared.

EDIT: Bloody ninjer

I like your creativity… but you gotta admit that G-Man is actually…

A plot device used to make multiple sequels for Half-Life. :expressionless:

Dan, please shorten your signature :S

Also, I agree that Freeman being Gman is stupid.

causes of why G-man can’t be freeman: hair colour, face form, secret powers, and he never fights and freeman loves get a gun and kill some alien bastards and combine

The G-Man’s real name is Mr McGuffin.

Wow, I don’t think G man is Human or alien. I think he’s kinda like a… uh… hologram?

He never touches you!

if gman can stop time and space why doesnt he just stop eli after he could still be a use to him after all?

because boobs

Because Eli isn’t of use anymore, he sent the satelite and all so why keep him alive when he’s about to tell gman’s secret to Gordon.

wow. that’s the longest signature I’ve ever seen.
