Personally, I think the G-Man could represent the developers (Valve) in the saga. If you disagree with me, just think about some of the stuff he says at the start of HL2 and you’ll see my point.
i think gman is an alien.
Gman.
Not Gordon.
Not Gordon’s father.
But Gordon’s son.
That’s why he had to save Alyx.
Search your feelings, you know it to be true!
:fffuuu:
I think the gman has some thing to do with the combine like when he says our benefactors then when breen says it there talking about the same ones. But then hes might be a xen creature because he got black mesa the crystals used in the test in the first one. He can travel to and from xen and the real world. I think that place that at the end of half life 1 where the tram was and gman is talking to you is in between xen and the real world and he stores people there untill there need again. and then he might be an evil creature bent on taking over the world and killing all mankind
GMan is a ghost who talks creepy…
I don’t get the point of the whole Gman arguments, they’re kinda pointless, as every speculation that could have been speculated has been speculated 999999x10^99999 times. One day maybe we will find out? With no new evidence, we get nowhere.
G-Man is obviously a spy.
I mean, he has a suit. And a briefcase.
And that other shit spies have.
That’s almost exactly what I used to think, except that Eli interprets his words to mean that the Borealis needs to be destroyed. And why would the G-man mention other offers from other potential employers at the end of Half-Life 2? His actions seem to contradict each other at times, and he seems to express a profound lack of interest in the effects of the things he makes people do. I think he might be some kind of profiteer: he’s just pimps people out to do unrelated jobs for the space cash.
Then again, if that’s the case, then why are there so many rules he seems to follow, such as the non-interference ones? Which leads me to a second conjecture:
He’s just in it for the lolz. His “employers” hire him to create situations which they will find amusing. They are able to observe what happens in our universe and others somehow, and for a while they found them quite amusing, but one day they got bored, so they decided to hire the G-man who would in turn enlist the services of other people to make things a little more interesting. At the end of Half Life 2, he says to Gordon “You’ve performed so well that…”. The key word here is PERFORMED.
Yeah. That’s gotta be it. Just watch.
A Nihilanth in human form. One of the last.
“The truth…you can never know…”
:3 whut
The g-man is an hallucination that gordon has.
When Eli was talking about him he was simply imagining it
Watch the HL2 credits
I agree, so does Nihilanth :freeman:
Um, a fucking lawyer???
Like I said before, G-Man MIGHT be Government-Man…but valve said it’s ONLY a codename, and also stated that it’s all open to speculation…
Gman=Grim Reaper
gman is definitely a recruiter for some big interdimensional combat firm. i mean why would he follow gordon through everything and even sheperd in opposing force. the only reason sheperd hasnt gone through anything else is cuz either he is on a mission or gman “employers” wanna test him again and they havent found the right scenario to test him in yet.
Because most lawyers carry a gun in their briefcase…
well if i had a job like gmans, or a lawyer, i would carry a .44 in my briefcase too.
FOR THE ONE LAST FUCKİNG TİME! ITS NOT CANNON CUZ WE WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO SEE IT!111111!!! RAGGGEEEEE
hell i wouldnt even need a job like those to have a gun on me. the world is dangerous.
Valve did it and put it in the game; sounds pretty canonical to me…
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
