Maybe he “will be have been” human before. We have no idea what the G-Man is oder was and Valve is probably still unsure about it. So you’d better say “G-Man is probably alien.” He can be a human which was selected by another “G-Man” and got the powers to time travel. I do not believe this, but we know nothing for certain.
Yea, so let’s all just not talk about Gman anymore. Jk
I’m glad we’re back on subject.
I talked about this with my friend today and he said he remembers seeing Gman in a movie, but he couldn’t remember what movie it was. If this has mentioned before or anyone could let me know what movie it was, I’d appreciate you guys telling me. Please note that this character was just similar to Gman, enough to recognize him, but also diferent enough to not get sued by Valve.
If this is it, it’s from Lost. Supposedly the creator is a friend of Valve’s so…
You should double-check other LOST episodes. You can see G-Man’s silhouette applied to many characters.
Also Desmond’s ship is named “Our Mutual Friend”
I think they were thinking of David Bowie in Labyrinth (gentlemen, careful not to look below the belt).
Skip to 2: 30 Damn emotes.

God I love Jennifer Connelly
Anyways BoT. If that’s even possible at this point.
No I mean not just facially similar to Gman, I mean like clothes, hair - even the briefcase.
Alas, the joke is lost.
That’s cool though, let’s get it back on topic, it’s not like Lost is going to provide any revelations as to the G-Man’s nature.
Mysterious characters (in the vein of the G-Man) have always been used… Hell watch any David Lynch movie… Lost Highway, if you can…
Does anyone remember in the train car where the Vortigaunt is powering the TV with Gman on it? I’ve always wondered why it was doing that. Was he talking to Gman? If so, then what about? (Dammit this post sounds like a question from my literature book. Curse you late night homework!)
Nope, just remembering him to charge my suit
I don’t think the Vort was knowingly powering the TV when the G-Man was on it, possibly it was waiting for a Breencast that may have been relating info about it’s poor Brethren that got sent to Nova Prospekt.
Or he was spying on the G-Man.
I just understood something.
The first words the G-Man utters in Episode Three…
“…pillssss…heere”
^
I’d like to know where you got the DeLorean model that has the Flux Capacitor.
@ raw_bean
Spying on the G-Man, interesting theory, I figured it was the opposite, G-Man just making sure Gordon knows he’s being observed.
With the (involuntary) help of a vortigaunt?
The Vorts and the resistance were the g-mans highest bidder. He was letting the vorts know gordon was on his way.
Yeah, that is why the G-Man was just taking Gordon away when the Vorts and the Resistance still needed him.
Yeah, I really really don’t think the humans or Vort’s could ever have hired G-Man’s services. They’re both victims caught in the middle of a much larger scheme.
I am positive the Vorts never hired Gman, or ever really affiliated themselves with him, but I do not fully trust them at the same time.
I wonder how much of their knowledge the Vortigaunts shared with the resistance. I agree they are victims like the humans but I think they are more aware of the larger scheme.
