[FPS] Tactical Assault (Tactical Ops 3) developers needed

Tactical Assault

TA (Tactical Assault) is a full game based on Unreal Development Kit technology that will focus on combining tactical gameplay with arcade style and speed; while utilizing the immense power of the UT3 Engine.

The gameplay will be based on squad based team play like top first person shooters such as COD4, Counter Strike and TO:AoT,

It will pit the Strike Force against Mercenaries in intense round based objectives and stunning scenarios. Tactical Assault offers a wide variety of modern weaponry and beautifully rendered maps.

We are hard at work producing new maps that give the right feel for the game, they will reward team play while still allowing opportunities for individuals to shine and capture their glory. If you love action-packed first person shooters with great community involvement, then stay tuned.

The Dev Team

The Tactical Assault Development Team is an international effort. We have fans from all over the world as well. Many of the team members have years of experience working with game creation and are very active within UDK and FPS communities. The team is working hard everyday to ensure that our first release to the public will surprise you with its quality. The team is very friendly and welcomes any and all help. Feel free to stop by and apply for a position or just post your suggestions on the forum.

We have been very busy the last few months concentrating on creating weapons, characters, and maps for our new media page which has just gone live!

Matt Lefevere has done a great job in rendering our handful of approved weapons in a UDK Scene. No, these are not in 3ds Max, Marmoset, or touched up in Photoshop.

i’m just donwloanding maya,if i like modeling,count me in after i get some practice (a lot of practice actually :stuck_out_tongue: )
suggestion : deep,strategy shooters are my favorite genre,take a look at mgo (metal gear online),and see if you can get any ideas out of it.an SOP based system would be a welcome addition,as it would greatly enhance teamplay.what it does is show location of linked teammates by an outline,their death spots and stun spots by an arrow,and allows voice commands like counter strike,just needs a marker system to tell a destination and it’s perfect

Our modelers and artists have been racking up libraries worth of assets in recent months

A few things going on :

-all 1st person weapon models are done
-working towards stripping our weapons to provide additional 3rd person and pickup model versions.
-started to skin and rig the 1st person player arms for animating, which will then lead us on to animating all the weapons… a slow and tedious task, but one that is critical!

On our next update we hope to show you more media, some in-game map screenshots and further news on our animations, character models… and oh yea… our teaser trailer as well which is still being developed!!

Yes, we really need another one of these games. The last 250 were really not enough. You should also just remove all the weapons except the pistols and M4 since those are the only ones that people won’t call “n00b t00b”.

It’s a new version of the oldschool game Tactical Ops.

It’s standing for almost 10 years !

The gameplay is far different than other games. All old Tactical Ops freaks are waiting to play Tactical Assault !

So there will be allready a small and close community when the game is released.

Because it’s a free game, we don’t have to aim at the big market and we can do what we want !
