Yes, this is the new “post your picture” thread, but it is much more than that. This is the introduction to the new picture galleries!

I found a much easier way to maintain picture galleries rather than using my own webserver/space which in the end became horribly tedious to update. I am sure some of you will pshaw at Picasa web albums, but it cuts down the time it takes to upload updates by 90% and I am happy with the way it works.

So with that said, feel free to take a look at the new galleries found here and remember to continue posting your pictures!

Wow, that’s an immense transition, and you’ve even grabbed the latest photos !

I can see that this was a lot of work, congratulations since it will make the project easier to maintain in the future. An investment of time to save time, you may say. :smiley:

Tiki… Isaac my son just commented on your avitar. “Look mom! Its Dum Dum!” (Night at the museum movie reference) So I am not sure what to think or say about that. :cheeky grin:

Regarding the gallery, the old way worked like this. For 400 pics in the gallery, 800 would have to be uploaded. Me with horrible bandwith meant it would have taken about an hour in order to get the gallery done.

This way, google and picasa talk to each other MUCH much quicker. So to update 400 pics is perhaps 5 minutes.

I am way happier.

I was happy when I first recognized that…uh… actor… as resembling my avatarsake. So I’m appreciative of the visual recognition! (Although I was disappointed he didn’t have a larger vocabulary, you can only expect so much of a family film’s dialogue :stuck_out_tongue: at least he was portrayed as a man who appreciates the simple things in life… like gum.)

…Also, your kid has a good eye, be careful while browsing the rest of the forum :wink:

She doesn’t, it’s one of those typical thing for people to say they look horrible in a certain picture, just so fools like TheeGoatPig, danielsangeo and you could say she looks great.

Fishing for compliments and stuff. I’d do the same, but people would just agree with me, seriously shrinking my ePeen.
