Flamethrowers...

Sorry man, seems like you’re the only one with this pet peeve. It doesn’t bother any of us.

Doesn’t Half-Life then bother you because it implies you can carry 10+ weapons plus ammunition?

I did actually once carry 10 assault rifles. But it was quite a burden.

It’s not consistent enough.

Don’t let him get that close then. His weapon has a range of about 30 meters.

M249 SAW - 22 lb

M2 Flamethrower - 68 lb (and you can’t carry your own equipment)

Hey, I have exactly this kind of tabasco sauce in my spice rack!

I don’t see whats so ineffective about a flame thrower. Sure its out ranged but imagine your enemy is hiding in brush, or just in close range. I mean I guess it’s not a jack of all trades weapon, but in the situations where it would be used it would be a devastating weapon. I mean say its useless for its faults would be like saying a shotgun is useless because a sniper rifle beats it at range. As far as there use in games and such, the primary reason they’re not used is the ethical reasons. If aliens or just rebels where using it, the ethics of the group and who they’re fighting would probably be the deciding factor in its use.

It has a short range.
It has no reserve ‘ammo’.
It’s effectiveness isn’t always guaranteed.
It just has no place in our modern military.
Whoever’s using it cannot carry their own equipment because they have to carry the fuel tanks.

I hate anything having to do with flamethrowers.

I stopped taking this guy seriously when he mentioned a spray can and lighter as an alternative.

How about a magnifying glass. If you really focus the light, you can cause some major skin irritations and even third degree burns! :retard:
