In the canal section, there’s a bullsquid that attacks some headcrabs before turning to attack you.
If you take the ladder down to the ground level and open the door to the canal, the bullsquid and headcrab sequence will not begin or be visible until you walk through the door. Suddenly, the bullsquid appears out of nowhere and begins attacking the headcrabs.
