Firefox scrolling options

After running a Firefox update, every time i press an arrow key UP or DOWN, the web browser jumps to the next (or last) hyperlink on screen. it USED to just scroll down 5 or 6 bars, but now on some pages (with few or no links) it jumps clear to the bottom, way past the text i’m trying to read.

Waaaaaaay back in the day, there used to be an easy-to-find option in internet Exploder where you could specify how many text lines the up or down arrows would scroll. i can’t seem to find any scrolling options on Firefox however and Google hasn’t helped much. i just want to go back to the usual scrolling. i typically don’t use a mouse when i’m scrolling through reading material.

Tools–>Options–>Advanced–>General Tab–>Auto/Smooth scrolling. The number of lines is determined by your mouse settings in Windows.

it’s Google! Any pages i jump to via Google searches do this. For instance, if i searched for “stuff” and clicked a link, on that page my arrow keys will take on this new function.

…but i’m not viewing the page through Google frames…

google fucked shit up again

it’s their new system that allows people to select links on the search results page by using the arrow keys

However, I don’t have that problem, I googled for stuff, selected the first link using the arrow keys, and then proceeded to scroll, using the arrow keys
