Favorite Half-Life weapon

We wanna know what weapon you liked and maybe a little bit why. It can be a Half-Life weapon to Half-life 2 and anything far and inbetween including the leak if ya can rember any. Make to tell us were it comes from.

Half-Life: Tau/Gauss Cannon This one got me threw thick and thin even in the online verstion :stuck_out_tongue: I love you trust Gauss Cannon
Hall-Life:BlueShift: This ones a bit confuseing If the hd verstion is ps2 only i got a “messed up” BlueShift because i got a M4A1 Carbine :stuck_out_tongue: fun to shoot marines with their own weapon :stuck_out_tongue:
Half-Life: OpposingForces:Hmm well i gotta choose 2 the Deagle and Spore Launcher
Half-Life 2 Leak: this is a hard one umm umm Grr too many I’ll go with the SniperRifle and the umm Hopmine thingys
Half-Life 2: Zero-Point Gravity gun (organic) Bulling for combine any one ;p
Half-Life 2 ep.1: Zero-Point Gravity gun (organic) what can I say I just love throwing combine at each other
Half-Life ep.2: Smg1 its just too useful

… although, actually, the gravity gun is awesome too.

Pistol: I never stop using it.

Pulse rifle: Just sounds and feels like a damn jackhammer. So damn powerful.

The tau cannon.

Am I the only one that HATES the tau cannon?
On topic: My favorite was probably…hmmmmm… I guess the Displacer Cannon in Opposing Force.

Man, I HATE the tau cannon.

And I loooove me some shock roach from OP4.

  • Fast projectiles
  • Rapid-firing
  • Target glows when hit
  • Ammo regeneration
  • Interesting when submerged
  • You have to catch it before you can use it!

ALTHOUGH… I modded my HL snarks to have shock-roach sounds, shock-roach world models, and the shock-roach view model. (I also modded those shock roach models to glow using additive textures…)

Being able to drop lots of shock roaches (that behave like snarks) is actually my favourite weapon. But without that mod, snarks are only my secondmost-favourite weapon.

Tripmine’s third, just because you can be so creative with them.

And lastly, for a HL2 weapon, I really enjoy throwing around rollermines.

The Magnum. 'Nuff said. It cracks skulls open and it’s enough for me. Also, I love the whoomp of it.

The mp5, glock pistol and magnum.

The displacer from Opposing Force. It’s basically the BFG from Quake 2, but in multiplayer it requires a little bit of skill. If you shoot it NEAR to an enemy it acts like the BFG from Quake 2, but a direct hit teleports the target to a random spawnpoint on the map. (It’s especially amusing seeing someone fire a displacer point blank at you, safely teleporting you away but killing them due to the shockwave.)

You can also have hitting the secondary fire button and running up to someone, which self-teleports you and kills them with the shockwave.

am I the ONLY one who likes the egon gun best!? It just looks and sounds so awesome, and it REALLY packs a punch!

Satchel Charges, their like super-ultra-double-mega-awesome-grenades. The best part is that you can place them all over a map and kill almost whatever you want with them.

Everybody loves that. It’s a no brainer.

That magnum. One shot kills and sounds awesome to boot.

Magnum and the satchel charges.

Gernades and Hivehand, come on a gun for a hand genius! (also like how you don’t have to actually have to aim)

Crowbar. Beating the shit out of wildlife was never so rewarding

i love both of hl2s one-handed light weapons:
9mm is very real, and sounds real also.
[COLOR=‘Silver’]magnum is magnum, it doesn’t need reasons to be loved ¦)

always loved xbow from hl1, hated that vacuum-cleaner, and enjoyed using remotes.

I love the shotgun two barrel shot to a vorts face in Hls making them fly and flip around a couple a feet is always fun

I like the op4 knife, and the carryable barnacle.

I had completely forgotten about that weapon - fuckin’ love it!

I always felt like the shotty was/is the iconic weapon of half life(obviously it is the crowbar, and therefore i am so very wrong) :freeman:
It’s by far the weapon i’ve used the most throughout the whole series.
