In no particular order: George Carlin, Steve Hughes, Ralphie May (albeit repetative), Stephen Lynch, Flight of the Conchords, Hans Teeuwen.

Some of my favourites are: Tim Minchin, Tom Lehrer, Steve Coogan (yes Americans, he does do stand-up! Although admittedly in-character), Dara O’Briain, Stewart Francis, Russell Howard and Frankie Boyle. I really should give Carlin a proper go, I’ve seen/heard a couple of bits and liked it, but never gone out of my way to track some down.
And Bolteh, what the hell is with your over-sized avatar?!
Tim Minchin
George Carlin
Eddie Izzard
Jeff Dunham’s Puppets
Kaya Yanar (Turk-German Comedian, famous for his intercultural commentaries)
Michael Mittermaier (Bavarian Comedian, famous for his everyday-life jokes)
Dr. med. Eckart von Hirschhausen (Doctor AND Comedian from Lower Saxony in Northern Germany, famous for his humorous lectures on human biology)
Oliver Kalkofe (also from Lower Saxony, famous for his rants about low quality tv)
heck yes. Robin Williams, ftw.
George Carlin and Pablo Fransisco.
philip geubels is pretty awesome too
and alex agnew (inb4 bolteh disagrees)
Oh yeah, and I completely forgot about Omid Djalili.
I kind of like Agnew from time to time. But Geubels? Telling horribly bad and cliché jokes in a monotone slow voice doesn’t magically make the joke better.
Hans Teeuwen
Theo Maassen
Najib Amhali
hehehe
i knew it
he’s hilarious
Why has no-one said Fry and Laurie?
Because it’s an insult to them to be classified as mere “comedians”.
Frankie Boyle. Tramadol nights was good although I wish he stuck to stand up and less scripted scenes.
I have to admit, when I was a kid my favorite comedian was Red Skelton. Looking back he was funny without even making a sound. He also told a story without even saying a word. Robin Williams would definately be the favorite now.
At the moment my current favorites are George Carlin and Patton Oswalt.
How can Carlin be your favorite right now? He’s been dead for 2 years, surely he can’t make any new stuff that makes you dislike him?
I meant that as far as comedians I’ve heard recently, Carlin is my favorite right now. I’m well aware of his death.
George Carlin.
Why are so many people saying Carlin? I mean, he has his funny moments but he’s not that great. He certainly not a favourite.
