So this will be the place for all Far Cry 1 discussion, not that there’s been much, but I hope we can get some good mods for it, and multiplayer maps.
preferably locally made (as in this community).

but I have a Question to kick it off, are their any Machette body decals? and if so, where do I go to find them? like cuts that appear on the mercs and stuff. if not, does anyone know where to find any/how to make my own?

I know I saw a mod with it somewhere but it didn’t actually seem to work, and now I’ve lost the link to it… :frowning:

I’m enjoying it so far. Freaking hard, and the voice acting is terrible, but the mapping is fantastic.

also it is unbelieveibly easy to use the editor, so much that it almost feels like a part of the game rather than a mapping utensil.

No, not awesome at all. The Far Cry sequels/spinoffs were awful, IIRC.

I lost interest in Far Cry after being set down on ANOTHER part of the island with the task of making my way across the ENTIRE thing. Partly because I was impatient and wanted to get to the damn point of the story, but also because it required me to kill almost 50 people without alerting any of them to the fact that I was intending to kill them and all 49 of their friends.

At the end of the last level I was on I traded my sniper rifle for a rocket launcher. Now I desperately need a sniper rifle. :S Otherwise, yeah, cool game. :stuck_out_tongue:

I never actually liked the single player, but the MP was great, I loved the predator gamemode.

Being a predator was probably the coolest thing ever. Only problem is that the A.I. was supernaturally alert.

It was on the predator expansion only I think. Basically you were some drugged up genetically mutated ape with massive claws and you could smell people, it was quite fun actually. (you were not really an ape or on drugs, but the metaphor stands)

Not sure, I had it on my 360, I suppose a bit of googling wouldn’t do any harm though.

for Far Cry 1, does anyone know where to get a machete decal patch or something? I want to cut my enimies to bits and actually see it. :smiley:
