Evidently this caused a major airport in China to be shut down. The photos of the phenomenon are unusually clear and distinct. The Chinese government claims it has identified the phenomenon but can’t release the information because it has “a military connection.”

It does look like it’s being projected based on the beam of light coming out of it, that was my first thought too - but officials at the airport it was sighted over say it was detected on radar. So clearly not a projection.
also they dont shut down airports because “light post.”

The Chinese military testing some kind of blimp UAV seems plausible, but it strains credulity that they’d do a top-secret test over an airport while turning on a fucking huge floodlight. Perhaps, being unmanned, it had some sort of electronics malfunction and went haywire?

i love posting about stuff like this, because people always come up with the craziest conspiracy theories to explain why it’s nothing out of the ordinary.

Saying that someone projected a light into the clouds isn’t much of a conspiracy.
them red chinese caint be trusted but coulpe years back we had this weird light out on the farm an i found one of ma cows done up like a turkey without no skin on em, reckon it was either some of them atheist satanist cults or else them good ol boys from space dont like my cows none
sure, but lights don’t have radar signitures, so to explain that part you need a reason for the air traffic controllers to lie about it, and then a reason why the airport was shut down, and a reason why the government became interested, and you end up with a massive conspiracy to make everyone believe China has UFOs. 
Whatever it is it’s clearly not a flying saucer full of aliens. It’s a light projection or man-made object.
I can explain everything in that. Radar can be put off by atmospheric events…as for government conspiracies causing shutdown of airports? Where’ve you been for the past decade?!
