This is actually how ancient Jews imagined the world. There was a circular flat surface covered by a firmament above which there were 9 (seven? Don’t really remember…) heavens.

“Did not understand a thing from that ;P.”
Uh huh… and so… why are we bothering to try and go to the next things with this.
Yaro, there is ample evidence that our brains have been ADDED TO IN TERMS OF HARDWARE, that prove that as generations have continued, we have evolved. Mamals pretty much ALL have the same sort of structure - we are all related through decent.
What is your evidence to counter this? What data do you offer? God dunnit? That does not work in the face of such a great body of evidence for evolution.
I also notice that you are dodging and weaving somewhat. You have not fully answered anyone, in terms of having sifted through the EVIDENCE and then made an opinion from there. Jumping from this topic to the next deos not equal intelligent debate.
It’s because God wasn’t very imaginative.
I don’t have time at this very moment to get into a grand debate, but common design could simply mean a common designer. Why does God have to make everything absolutely different? To avoid such stinging insults as ‘unimaginative’? As for our hardware upgrades, let me see your proof of these upgrades before we go farther with that one.
Yet there’s absolutely NO evidence whatsoever of a “designer”, intelligent or otherwise.
Increase in average brain size of humans and its predecessors over the years?

If God is our creator, and his creation is flawless, because he is allknowing and omnipotent, how come we breathe and eat through the same opening in the body? Kinda dangerous, if you ask me. Isn’t that sort of a flaw?
And the waste-evacuation tube being in the same area as the recreation/procreation tube? That’s a poor planning job, if you ask me.
Yeah, and what’s with male nipples? Men don’t need nipples, do they?
inb4 the hilarious ‘watchmaker’ argument.
One word: balls.
On the outside of the body, major fuckup.
that’s like putting the bridge of a space ship on the outside of the hull
Listen… either you are in here to debate or you are not. You first say that you do not have time to play, but you want me to jump your hoops. Sorry mate - Either you are in or not.
Next thing, is if you are going to ask questions or make statements that are self evident, then one of two things must be true.
1st, either you do not understand brain structure in a comparative inter-species sense and as such, are not able to offer a reasonable opinion on this topic or;
2nd, You are just trying to muddy the waters with flap trap.
3rd, statements like;
“but common design could simply mean a common designer” don’t count as evidence, it is merely subjective opinion. Could? Why could? How is could helping to shore up your side of the debate? Can you radio date that? Are we able to fit that in the fossil record?
Do not come in here like an arrogant voice of reason, without any thing solid to back it up. It is the same voice I use to have - but then I found out that evidence is what it is… speculation and faith are not the same as evidence.
Follow?
Oh, and by the way…
“Why does God have to make everything absolutely different?” Is it not written,
"Birds have one kind of flesh, fish another… " Yet, the same gene types / shared DNA/RNA sequences are common through all speices…(In varying degrees) Interesting hey?
The truth of it, is that common decent accounts for the diversity we see… Not God’s creative ability. And you will likley not hear any insults from me regarding God. I may take a kick here or there at people who try and use faith to argue a science issue, and the other way around, but not God - People are free to believe as they choose. Besides, it is not GOD that has an issue with crappy arguments - merely those trying to prove that god created everything in a very short period of time.
Why do creationists oppose evolution so much? Which part of the bible says anything about evolution being wrong?
Well, part of the problem comes is that the Gospel really is founded on the Creation story. In Acts, (I think it is) we have Paul sharing the gospel and he first starts out by saying; (rough and dirty)
“Men of Corith, I see you are familiar in worshiping Gods. You even have a statue to an unknown God: That which you do not know, I will proclaim to you…”
He then goes on to share the gospel, first starting with “God created”. Also, the Gen account starts off with a creation event. It tells of it being a literal (depending on which Hebrew master you listen to event. A major part to the old Hebrew religion was observing a day of rest to Honour God’s creative work… Six days of creation, and the 7th for rest. If we evolved, then how can that part fo the bible be true? If that part is not true, then how can All of God’s word be true? Etc. Keeping in mind, that some folks take EVERYTHING pretty much as literal in the bible…
Hope that answers you question?
In a word: Parable.
No question Danielsangeo, that some of it is certainly that… A lot more than some folks like to admit. Psalms is a perfect example, and even some of the rants from Paul.
Explain to me if all of these are flaws and stupid inventions then how come we didn’t get rid of them along our “evolution”? You know why? Because such shit doesn’t exist.
You’re blinded by few informations you have, none of them fully proving it’s existance. And yet you convince other people thet they’re living a lie because they believe in something you can’t possibly understand. You attack them with so-called scientific facts while saying that ‘science is something that’s constantly changing’.
If someone is better at something - he must be sick or unnormal. And maybe it is you who’s not normal. But you can’t be, because science is never wrong, right?
https://sciencedefeated.wordpress.com/2009/12/21/science-makes-top-ten-worst-ideas-of-all-time/
Knock yourselves out…
Besides, I believe that most of people are turning against everything related to God because they don’t like to be told what to do. That’s why most of you are below 20, that’s why most of you curse with no apparent reason. It’s good to be “in control”, right?
I bet I wouldn’t find two people here who read the Bible by themselves, none of them reading it back to back. And yet you deny it all the way calling it bullshit and fleeing behind your science crap.
When I give you “Earth was round” (I’ve never said he wrote it was a sphere), you turn to the word “circle”. When I give you solid numbers to point out year 1914 - it’s a coincidence.
Luke 19:41-44
Luke 21: 20,21
So what’s up with that? Jerusalem opposed the Romans which led to an invasion led by Cestius Gallus (or whatever he’s called in english) in year 66. Then, for no reason Flavius decided to retreat for no apparent reason. That bought some time for the christians to flee to Pella outside Jordan. In year 70 the army this time led by Titus came back, compassing the town in three days with a ~7km wide palisade. Five months later Jerusalem fell and Romans completly destroyed the whole city.
Of course it’s only one of the predictions you don’t believe and/or will shoot down with some ambitious argument like “it was written after the fact”.
That’s probably my last post in that kind of thread simply because I don’t know english well enough to fully represent what I’m trying to say. It’s just something to make you think outside “I’m right and everything else is bullshit”. I’m sure I will not succeed though. Well, everybody is allowed to live in a lie.
The funny thing is, if everything is being fucked up everyone asks God for help. Not science, the guy that doesn’t really exist, right? But I bet for you it’s just plain stupid…
Back to sleep…
ERROR: Misguided Bullshit Overload
Also, stop quoting the bible to aid your arguments, it’s been edited an rewritten so many times in the past millenium it’s ridiculous.
As for predictions, there’s a theory that time exists in multiple dimensions/planes, and exists simultaneously, the waking consciousness can’t perceive it. Synchronicity and subconscious archetypes can account for many prophets, who were likely schizophrenic or had synesthesia. There are plenty of prophets in modern times as well. It’s all a matter of historical relevancy.
Thanks for proving my point .
