Engie Update?

You mean this? At first glance they appear to be replacements, not new weapons. I cant wait to get my hands on them tho, especially the pyro, my primary class.

All I can say is the scout pack sucks.

^fixed :stuck_out_tongue:

Uh, what do you mean “replacements”? They’re going to be released as weapons and hats you can find in-game, which is why the blog says they’re attaching gameplay attributes to the items. Just like they have always done with community-created content.

Oh ho, strong words from someone who claims a W+M1 primary class :stuck_out_tongue:

Replacements because even though they are new weapon models, they behave the same as the weapons they replace. For instance, the pyro’s new thrower is functionally equivalent to his standard thrower rather than being a modified thrower like the backburner. I consider the backburner a “new weapon” rather than a “replacement”. I dont know if that makes sense lol. Basically, if you were to never find any of those weapons, you would not miss out on any unique attacks or weapon functions.

O Im no W+M1 whore, compression blast ftw. Pyros are just a versatile all-around class. Good for defense and offense. I especially love causing chaos.

I see what you mean. They will, however, be new weapons. Valve has stated that they are attaching gameplay attributes to the new models, so they will be new weapons.

And I was joking about the W+M1 too, of course. When pyros know how to play well they are huge assets to the team, unfortunately they get a bad rap since they get picked all the time by noobs who don’t know how to play yet :stuck_out_tongue:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
