I never said the army had to be discontinued. If anything it needs to be heightened, if such a feat like 9/11 and the Pentagon have been accomplished. Plus, I’d appreciate it if you stop being so butthurt, as no one else is being rude.

Anyway, I think the US is just trying to suck up to China to make them more of an ally. An American company (Microsoft) has already helped China in their Internet censoring crusade, so maybe the government itself is furthering the worship to get a powerful ally.
Look around most of your material possessions. How many of them have “MADE IN CHINA” on them? Just saying.
The only reason China isn’t our enemy is because we’re neck deep in debt. I doubt it’ll get any better anytime soon.

He attacked because we support Israel. He released a video in September that says this quite clearly and implores the US to change its ways.
That’s something I don’t understand.
After all these years of unsuccessful terrorism, why have terrorist organizations still not figured out that if they threaten a state government, they will get exactly the opposite reaction of what they demand them to do?
There was a video in Germany, prior to the recent government elections, and it was done by terrorists claiming to already have infiltrated Germany, and they were warning the upcoming government to better pull out our troops of Afghanistan, otherwise there would be some incidents.
Now our government has no choice anymore but to leave our troops there, just because they HAVE to defy terrorist demands always and at all costs. Otherwise they appear to become manipulatable (that the right word?). Maybe our new government was indeed planning a retreat, but now has to stop it or at least delay it until the terrorists inside our country are found. That means more German soldiers will be in deadly danger for a longer time.
The terrorists should know by now that reverse psychology is needed to influence governments. If they really wanted our troops to pull out, they should have threatened to attack civilian centers if our troops would not be reinforced and stocked up in the next three months. That’s how it actually could have worked.
Well, okay - maybe the video was indeed made or at least financed by high ranking military officers who wanted to have more troops in Afghanistan, who knows?

Yes there is a reason to panic for someone like this guy. He probably didn’t know what to say and he didn’t want to be shown as a dumbass in front of the planet(he wasn’t a dumbass for not knowing what to say,but at that kind of moments you feel like a dumbass).
Actually I think by now it’s pretty clear Bush WAS a dumbass who never knew what to say unless he managed to remember the scripts prepared for him (which was very hit and miss).
